M3 competition
With paint and interior spec’d comes to about 680/month with 6k down over 2 years, 7K miles.
A lot of money, but half of what you’d pay if you went direct to the dealer.

Cracking! Just nice to see an actual decent car on this thread instead of the endless EV drivel biggrin

In all honesty it was a toss up between this and an I4 m50. The maths said take the i4 but thankfully I didn’t do the sensible thing!

How’ve you got on with it?
Love it. My first EV. There may have been better value for money deals out there BUT none of them that I know could deliver 300 miles on one charge This particular model has propilot as well and panoramic roof.

I agree with my petrolhead hat on but on the other hand it’s a grand a month. It’s hard to justify for a lot of people.

Come to that, if the dealer deal would cost you 2 grand a month then that’s mental. £3.50 a mile. It would have to be epic to justify wouldn’t it!

My current lease not due back until March 2025 - leased for a few years now and usually used to looking early doors for replacement. Seems most offers are now in stock though - will wait until Jan for new quarter offers. Hopefully the new year is kind to us!

Uk carline advertising still for golf gti and golf r march delivery. think price has increased tho but might be of interest.

100% jealous. I really like having a PHEV, as it suits my needs perfectly, but I would gladly swap it for one of these.

Off topic but would appreciate if anyone has any guidance.

I have had to go down the PCP route for tax purposes. Unfortunately the dealer no longer provides smart, alloy or tyre insurance. Has anyone had any experience sourcing this type of of insurance independently??

Try totallossgap, as they seem to provide these insurances.
No connection, but I used totallossgap for gap insurance.....just before they went bust! But the cover was taken over and never had to claim.

You can get insurance comparisons on moneysupermarket for GAP etc. I used 'Tidyalloys.com' for my GAP, they also do SMART/alloy/tyre insurance. Seems fine

Just did the maths on a golf R. 2 years at 10k = 31.5% of p11d. Ouch.

I spoke with leasing options on Friday who said they would let me know the price as only 3 cars in stock and all had options but they never got back to me…..

These cars could possibly be pre reg as the 3 colours they said they had was the same as another broker who had them as pre regs.

7.5 R, the last quality R built, everything since has been cheapened by VW

The GTI is also over 30%. So not a great deal. Maybe you paid less.
It’s not a comparison to previous deals just poor value full stop.
