Its with Novalease. Just not sure if I want to commit in case I leave the company before the 3 years.
Have you checked what included? Tusker include ‘lifestyle protection’ which means if you leave the company, get sacked etc you just give the car back with no penalties.

I did indeed, protected for redundancy, sickness - ie I can hand it back. If I were to leave then it revert to gross. Prob won't go for it and 3 years is a long time and I would be forced to stay with the company.

How would you print out service history??
On my VW I can only get it if I go into a dealer and ask them to print it.
Then it’s got my personal info on that they aren’t allowed to share.
VW customer services will email you a PDF of the history containing no personal info.

I bought a used VW and got the history from them.

I have returned 10+ lease cars and if there is any damage I always dispute the charges and the finance company has always, without fail, agreed a reduction. So my advice is never to agree with the damage report produced by the inspector on the day and never agree with the charges.

When my Leaf went back recently, the inspector recorded 15 separate dents or scratches. After negotiation, I paid £215 total.

Same experience here with Audi, it's a simple list of dealer visit dates/ mileages and the work carried out.

No personal info is shown.

I have had four vehicle leases over the last ten years, should I be contacting the funders and complaining regarding the car finance commission reclaim?

I’m not entirely sure if it all applies to leases. Even Martin Lewis’ MSE page on the matter confuses me.

4 x lease cars sent back over the last 10 years and Ive never shown the service history to anyone on hand back.

Its all on line and available if they want it.

All the guys that have inspected the cars just go to the service screen on the car and check the latest info.

No issues relating to any services have ever been raised.

I’ve only had one charge for £450.

£250 was for stone chips and £200 for damaged wheels.

I raised a claim for the stone chips but was happy with the wheels. They cancelled the whole invoice.

As you say, always dispute damages.

Business deal on an XM seems very cheap? I agree its a monstrosity, however less than £400pm for a £105k list car.

Rachel Reeves has shown her well hidden sensible side and started to kill off this nonsense

It's almost £600 in reality what with the deposit and fees.

PS in fact £720 inc VAT

Damn I would be all over this if it was the personal deal!

I have a ltd company for some properties I rent but no idea how a business lease works as I don't pay myself a salary. Does it just get financed off the business income?

GAP insurance - quick question im hoping someone can help with as, i cant seem to get a definitive answer as to whether i need GAP insurance or not on my new lease car. ive checked my insurance which states that should it be stolen or written off, then it will be replaced with a new car, same spec if under 2 years old

Therefore as the lease is for 2 years, not sure its needed unless im missing something or is it added peace of mind ?

You need to be registered keeper and first owner for your insurance to replace the car. Doesn't work for lease. GAP finance/lease make sense if you put up larger initial payment.

Your business pays for it. You get it as a company car. Your business claims back half the VAT. You pay personal tax based on the BIK.

Add BIK of 8% and 9% so that makes it ~£900 pm

I am not VAT registered so it's a full payment I guess + BIK! Not for this thread anyway

sorry to hijack the thread and not start my own but i wondered if anyone could help- i have a car due to be collected soon and have just realised that the discs are shuddering on braking at high speeds. there are no lights on the dash or is it due a service. should i be sorting before collection or will this be fine to go?

Leave it. It was fine when you last drove it.

Nope, cheapest PHEV currently by a country mile, I just did a deal with Rachel at Simpsons Skodas in Preston last week, slightly different at £3200 down and £267 x 23, but that was for the SE-L.... no admin fees using a dealer

Someone posted earlier about a Karoq 1.5 DSG 9+23 at £291.... not even Hybrid, let alone PHEV...

Edited by jbcalvin on Friday 17th January 20:31
Is that on a lease?
My deal was a lease on the Kodiaq. SE-L spec, with metallic paint. 5 seater.
