Lovely. My Dad had a TXE Executive and took it to 285k. It was still going but he was under pressure to change I think, as parts were getting scarce and he'd already started having issues - ISTR one was oil making its way down the loom and into the ecu, but I can't recall why.

"You have had a total electrical failure"Fairly sure my dad got that once as the car died in Lane 3 and he had to coast to a stop. He was reassured that the total electrical failure didn't extend to the speaking computer

The last two MOTs / 3,000 miles were free of advisories, I wonder why it hasn't sold? I really like it!http://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/2023012836...

It's in the video ... more Orange than Tan ... like a Love Island contestant ...
That colour combo is quite often seen. One of the Jap import dealers in the Midlands has had a couple, and seen ‘em variously elsewhere too. There’s a JDM importer up in Scotland that also specialises in campers/leisure vehicles that had one too.Swervin_Mervin said:

On the subject of the advertised car, the inclusion of a Feu Orange air freshener is simply top-drawer *chef’s kiss*

I think £495 was psychologically more acceptable to a lot of folk as “it’s under £500” but once you get to c£700/annum you need a strong stomach for that.
I’d run one of them (if it wasn’t for the road tax) as i quite like the look but they don’t look half as good as the 406 Coupe; so i’d probably plonk for that.

The tax means it's a £1k car to me. Even if you can stomach it, you won't be able to find someone to buy it when you're bored. Who thought this faux-carbon was a good ides?
Parts will be hard to come by as will good information on issues and how to fit various parts when compared to German stuff and all for a car that really isn't anything special.
A nice 605 however would be worth the headache.

There needs to be some kind of civil unrest over car tax rates. Not for us fantasists that want to one-handed steer some ridiculous motor, prob as a second car, but more for those that have a £395 bracket normal car that they can’t afford to replace (nor need to) and keep getting hammered year on year by tax increases because it’s an easy target and no mainstream media is going to defend it, because it would require more than a 5 word strap line. So every year they get pummelled for more tax whilst watching everyone sell water in 500ml bottles without penalty (pick your environmental damaging topic of choice), because - well - who knows. These people are mostly just middle income or lower, so can afford tax increases the least.
Nowhere else can I think of that you can buy a long term purchase for thousands of pounds and is then made worthless by taxation a few years down the line. It’s chuffing mental.

That looks like local trader, with LT in the name... expect many undisclosed issues, he buys them off the Suzuki Garage he works at, puts an MOT on and sells them. Edit: it's not, just seems to have been photographed in the same place! Seems a little expensive, but looks alright.

Sadly, I believe there are almost none left. Well, with a worthwhile engine. We bought a 605 V6 SVE in '07 to do the Scumball Rally and it's the only car I regret selling. If I'd had a barn somewhere it would have been stored. It was an utterly magnificent thing.QBee said:
What happend to your passenger if you press the "P OFF" button?
I'm more interested in what the button on the right does. Could it be for automatically opening garage doors for you, even ones that don't belong to you? Or is it for lining the car up between goalposts when playing car football?Gassing Station | Car Buying | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
