Inverness... I suspect seller's location doesn't help. I've noticed over the years that the further into Scotland you go, the more of a hit you take on the used value of something a bit special. Smaller potential market. I also suspect what market there is will be more likely to want something they can smash about rutted lanes.
Perhaps, but the ad was pretty counter-productive too

And my own prejudice is that the further north, the more it’s been exposed to salty roads.

That’s the better version.
IIRC there was very little useful information in the advert initially. It wasn’t until I managed to draw a tiny bit of blood from an ancient stone that he then updated the advert with some more helpful info.

Love these BMW GT’s -

The three and five are the last of the remotely desirable BMW’s to me.

The proportions of the GT are just all wrong IMO, not a fan.

mini almost barge

Decent colour, nice light interior for me, getting on a bit but not huge miles, seems to be regularly doing 5-6k a year now so isnt sitting. Cambelt done 6-7y and 35k ago apparently. Seats look not abused.
MOT history pretty good to me, only suspension bushes previously, a CV boot and a couple of low tyres

If it had been around when i bought my V50 it would probably be on the drive now.

I could tolerate the looks considering the engine and specification.

Don't these have rear suspension issues iirc?

Just saw this ad for a South Africa imported 280SE run out. What a colour! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/256813386702

Run out model from not Inverness salty road.com - no wonder it’s sold.

I remember hating these when they came out and my opinion hasn't changed after having a good look at it again.

Nothing wrong with head on, (the grills aren't at the taking the piss stage at this point and the lights are quite smart) but literally every other possible angle looks completely wrong. A feat even their latest monstrosities occasionally fail to achieve.

I've never been a fan either, but by all accounts they are spacious and fairly wafty.

I'd rather just have a regular 3 or 5 Series, which is handy as my daily is an early E90 with the N52 engine!

Kinda think if you're going to go for an awkward BMW with enough room for a KKK hat, you may as well have the 7 chassis and more grunt.

So many unrepeatable tropes come to mind, about the owner of this vehicle.

Collection caper today, not sure if thread worthy. Merc Viano V6 diesel with captain's chairs, rear climate etc. Has some barge qualities even if a based on a van?

Definite thread worthy IMO.
Looked at these myself but would always end up with a Honda, Toyota or Nissan when we go full MPV/Minivan.
