This 6-pot caught my eye in next month's ACA sale.

No reserve and with claimed working factory air conditioning. If it had cuise as well I'd be tempted.

Twice thread, but still it seems like massive value. Can't believe how cheap these are now

What are the chances!?

Someone get it bought!
That's about right for one of these, I think the £700 RFL really screws them over and the availability of the SV8 and XFR for a couple of grand more, but I loved the one we had for a while and it was a real "goldilocks" car in terms of power.
A really nice honest smoker with years of service for someone doing a couple of thousand miles a year, but it'll be at the knackers yard early because of the spiteful RFL system.

Been there and done it with one of these:

Its a 2005 Mercedes CLS500. It was a bucket list thing to own a V8. I wanted one of those for months, but was put off by the combination of black leather and no sunroof. Eventually found one with the V8, grey leather and a sunroof for £1900 so I bought it. It needed a fair bit spent, some of which I did actually spend on it, but ultimately it had issues and I auctioned it for about £800. But I got to enjoy V8 ownership for a little while; and the luxury of a decent spec Mercedes (I've had 7 others in the past, more sensible ones though).
I deliberately chose one older than March 2006 (I think??) to avoid the £700 road tax - its still obviously the highest band, and still around £400 though. But what killed it was the fuel consumption. When I first bought it, I was working away so only did 60 miles/week commute. A change of job meant I was now doing 250 miles/week commuting. I can see why the 320CDI is the most popular one.
Its a nice car but its a dinosaur. Effectively, you can buy a similarly nice car for nothing these days, because they'll be extinct either in your ownership or very soon after. Something with a reasonable level of equipment, decent fuel economy, low tax and actually worth something when you come and sell it, costs a bit more.
