Yes, that was mine. I did meet up with another Z4M Coupe owner, flimper, who has had his Interlagos Blue one for 16 years. But he took his Fiat 595 Abarth. I didn't get a photo but there was a C36 AMG - and a 1930s Bentley that was more of a truck than a barge!
ETA bolidemichael has a photo of the Bentley in his Sensible Gentlemans' Express thread:- https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Sadly I'm not brave enough!Did the new owner realise there was no way to stop the black stuff from coming out onto his driveway without a heart attack inducing bill?

'96 Honda Legend with low miles and nice colour. Seats look a bit strange though. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202503150...

Someone please tell me what's wrong with this because I'm getting this close >| |< to buying it. I need a cheap barge as using the wife's Abarth 595 as our daily runabout on these cratered streets is doing my back in!Ah, just noticed

Did you spot my E90? There was another one there too. I've only ever seen one other "in the wild" since owning mine, but knew that would be there from a WhatsApp group.
Sorry I'll have to confess I didn't spot either of them, there were just so many fantastic cars to stare at. Which is what makes PH events so great - the car park is often more interesting than what is at the venue!GeniusOfLove said:

I think as you say, the issue for me is that you can find a SV8 for another £1500 or so. The 4.2 is a nice engine and it's quick but many modern cars outpace it now without the blower.
Plenty of cars are faster than my dad’s manual V12 E Type was but that’s not what it’s about. If you want a fast Jag, just buy an I Pace.
But then that doesn’t even begin to cut the mustard, despite being one of the fastest accelerating ‘Jaguars’ they made.

The NASP 4.2 is a hard sell when the later 3.0d can be had with the same performance, will go at least 50% further on a tank of fuel, and costs half as much to tax. You need to really want that V8 refinement but not be that bothered about performance, and there aren't many takers for that.Without punitive tax regimes every car of that size and type would be powered by an engine like that and be better for it; decent turn of speed, smooth, reliable, robust, and clean running. Instead we get £60k+ cars powered by van engines.

What should I be looking at? It's not as obvious to me as the Rover 800. It's the dash top in front of the passenger?
That really was dreadful on the 800 and they never fixed it, even the very last ones did it.It happens to mostly XFs but X150 XKs too. I've also seen it on other cars that have actual leather on the dash. Very common on older DB9s too.
As I understand it you can't really fix it in situ, the leather has changed size/shape, so you have to remove the dash top and get it retrimmed or replace with a new/2nd hand one. Tends to be earlier cars, which could be a change of design or material, or it could just be age.
This has reminded me I have something similar on a bit of leather trim on the rear 1/4 casing on my XKR, probably water damage.

Anyone fancy a minibarge with a suitable number of petrol fed cylinders? This does look like a really decent machine for the money and as long as there are no rust ussues, it should be reliable, too.
