I went to have a look at one on Friday and been pondering it over the weekend. It looks like Arnold Clark have pulled the offer from their website this morning, presumably no stock left. Just off the phone to Johnsons who are going to send a quote through, they said min deposit on 3 years is £1000 but zero deposit is available on 4 years. I wouldn't usually entertain a 4 year deal but with the 5 year care package it might make sense.

I test drove one over the weekend at our local Honda dealer, I already had a couple of quotes from Johnsons for the Elegance model including on a 2 year deal, 6k p.a. £2.5k deposit and monthlies of £179.97, with £3.5k from Honda & £8k from Johnsons.

They could only go to £6.9k, waiting to hear back this morning if they'll match the £8k and will then order it.

It will be our first EV, just moved house and it has solar panels, feeding into a Tesla Powerwall 2 (battery storage) and subsequent car charger, ideally will be run for free as long as the sun is out...

I can't say the car blew me away or excited me but my wife and kids loved it. The dealer also let us all go out in it, which I much prefer to be chaperoned...

I'll let you know if the deal is on or not...
Further to my earlier post, the dealer has just come back and confirmed they are willing to match the Johnsons price, had to go to the dealership CEO for approval (apparently),gone for the bog standard Elegance model in Urban Grey - majority seem to be one of the 2 blue shades and there are no solid paint colour ones left, delivery September, planning on just keeping it for the 2 years and then handing it back....

Nice one :- Does look like the offer stock is dwindling down now so anyone still pondering should be quick to decide!

I agree Chris - as it will only need an MOT after three years I don't think there is much to be concerned about. The Honda Care package even includes AA breakdown assistance for the full five years.

6,000 miles if you choose to hand it back at the end of the term. Around 11p/mile for overs.

Update - Johnsons still have some allocation for these cars but seem to be going fast and colours running out now. I believe Brindley have sold their allocation.

I think he expects to do 7000 but kept it to the standard 6000 amount as the pence per mile was alright.

We are in Bournemouth the closest dealer he could get one from was Eastleigh, they had £1,000 deposit but price matched the dealer in Scotland from the other thread (thanks to whoever posted that, I shared the deal from that thread and the extra £1,000 off sealed the deal.
I really want to know what world people inhabit that only do 6000 miles a year.

We got a Kia EV6 in October 2023. We've done 18,000 miles in it already!

Really depends where you live and what your social life is doesn’t it. Also how many cars you have.

I’m 35 with no kids - my main driving in the week is to and from work/any social events, but everything I do regularly is within 20 mins of my home. I do longer drives on the weekend for day trips etc, but we have two cars and balance the miles between the two.

If I worked another 15 minutes away it doesn’t sound much but I could easily add 20 miles extra per working day to my totals, adds up.

I think I do on average 600-800 miles a month, which is nice as I have a 520d MHEV which does 700-800 miles per tank!

You would seem to be the outlier here

Mine is 6k this year but a bit lower than normal as I had a few work trips down to the south coast but used a rental car.

As per the graph above its actually fairly average U.K annual mileage. However - as the deals in question are PCP contracts the mileage limit only comes in to play if you wish to hand the car back at the end of the agreement.

Just curious of those who have paid their deposit and filled out their finance agreement forms, how long after did you hear back? I did mine on Friday but haven't heard anything back as of yet.

I'm in no rush if i'm honest as i've asked for my car to be held until the end of September when my current EV is due to go back its more curiosity.

I started the process on Thursday morning and had everything confirmed by mid afternoon through Johnsons. Worth checking your Honda account to make sure there is nothing outstanding. I had missed an email about KYC checks that had gone into junk. That request wasn't showing on Honda but got a nudge from the dealer.

Mine was similar
Dealer had finance approved when I was there. But it was still open on my Honda yesterday. On that I had to add salary, then it cleared that straight away.
Then I had a mail today to confirm the colour, which I did.
All good.
I did speak to the dealer, he confirmed it’s all done, there may have been a glitch on the account, a few had similar.

I ordered a week and a half ago, my car is now onsite and due for collection this weekend.

Paperwork was quick, dealer didn’t update me though.

Morning everyone, can i just check before i get scammed. Did anyone else have to follow a link to https://connect.consents.online/honda for them to get access to my financial situation?

It says from noreply honda but i am SUPER cautious about anything that is 3rd party and pulls info from my bank.

Thanks

Bb - wow great news! Look forward to hearing about your opinions of the car.

One thing I didn’t notice in any of the spec sheets is any kind of external lighting. All the previous VAG cars I have had either have door handle lights or downward pointing lights in the door mirrors or door puddle lights. Maybe it’s not a Honda thing?

Ordered mine last Sayurday, for September delivery.
Went for the Advance in white.
I wouldn’t mind it sooner, not bothered about the latest number plate!
Having OHME charger fitted next Wednesday. Wife already has a phev, had been using 3 pin. So good to get the proper charger for both.

A life where someone doesn't spend 10-15% of their waking life in a car I guess. I know I consciously chose to stop doing 20k+ a few years back and I'm all the better for it.

Thanks, I have literally only driven it the 20 miles home due to having a family over, first impressions are positive though and I love the colour (obsidian blue).

Will update again soon, I will also check for puddle lights etc.
