I've got the new Model 3 Performance and it's absolutely brilliant. Suspension and steering are great, the seats are too. I've had some nice cars in the past and this punches well beyond its price. I can honestly say it's one of my favourite cars. However, the indicators are stupid, as someone said if there was one button either side of the wheel it would work perfectly. Also, the rain sensing wipers aren't particularly smart, and the reversing cameras and visual parking aids aren't the best I've ever had. Overall though, it's a winner. I also think it looks great.

I think the new Y will be a massive car for Tesla. If they improve it to the same degree they have improved the 3 it's going to be top of the class.
They need the new Y. I took a ride in an Aito M5 on holiday in China recently. The Y can’t compete as a car. Much worse NVH, ride quality, material quality and ambience. The tech in the M5 was done by Huawei and was the first car I have seen where the tech is equal to Tesla’s. In China that car is cheaper than the Y. In the West, Tesla can afford to rest on its laurels somewhat, but not in China, which is a significant market for them.

With the £4,299 deposit amortised over the 36 months it works out as £418.41. Is that still good?
I am paying £588 amortised over 48 months.

418 over 36 seems like a much better deal than mine which I took exactly 1y ago.

I timed my model y lease and mortgage renewal perfectly to pay max for both.
Yeah.. was just thinking about when I rented a BMW i3 from Evezy/Onto (sadly gone bust) - that was £399 a month, although that did include insurance. It's a lot of car for even £418.41.

Sucks about your situation but to be honest with pricing being so fluid it's basically a crapshoot whether you'll be better or worse off from one moment to the next. It wasn't so long ago that Model 3s were 5.9% APR (Performance was 9.6% for a short while), which then changed to 0% overnight.

Yep. Fair.

Hi all,

The current deals have really tempted me towards a Model Y… so much so, I went a test drove one today. Pretty much what I expected & no real surprises.

The current deals push me towards a RWD, black exterior and black interior & upgrading the wheels to 19’s… However the car I drove today was a long range model, white interior, black exterior and 19’s.

I’m set on black exterior, feel like it suits the styling. I’ve seen people complain about the 19’s, but felt the ride was fine. White interior was nice, but concerned about its longevity with a 4 year old in the back, so I’ll be sticking with black!

My only reservation now is the “lesser” performance/power. The long range felt quick and that it had a solid amount of power. It seems crazy to suggest a nearly 300bhp RWD standard model would be inadequate… but is it? Has anybody had experience of both?

Also, what is the real world range of a RWD? What sort of range can I expect from a full charge?

I find myself in a position where I don’t need to change car (currently have an FK8 Type R) but this deal is very appealing and the bigger car would suit our family better. Would you jump at this deal or hold out for the facelift Y (whenever that may be)?

The facelift will be an uplift if it’s like the M3, although (number between a few and many) are put off by the indicators moving to the steering wheel which is also likely to happen on the MY. If the MY is facelifted then within 6 months there are likely to be attractive deals.

And I’m not plugging, message whoever you want, but you can get a further £1000 of any new Tesla at the moment with a referral code.

I took the MY RWD deal with an additional £1000 off referral.
Managed to get 36months, 10k miles, £3k down & £328 a month.

How reliable is the delivery date in the app? Mine has a registration on the app, and estimates 2-17th Oct. Delivery into Longbridge. I could do with this being closer to the start of Oct to tie in with existing car sale.

Insane value

I'm paying 28k+ over four years. You're paying less than 15k over three! Same mileage

The deal says it is only valid if you take delivery by the end of Sept (which is also the end of quarter), I’m assuming white with black interior based on the figures, so they have inventory, I imagine they’ll be pushing to get you in it sooner than later. I must admit I’m tempted at that price too even though Musk doesn’t deserve any support

It does suggest a massive oversupply and/or an update is imminent, but if that doesn’t bother you then fill your boots

There's a similar deal on the LR now, so can have a LR for £5099 then £399 a month if anyone was after one of those. Order by 12th, delivery by end of September.

Apparently very few RWD left that can be delivered in time for the offer.

I got a showroom demo white SR with 7 miles recorded - £2k discount off list and £1k referral make it just under £14k for 3 years.
Seems like a cracking way of trying out an EV with the bonus of superchargers too.

Probably had several hundred families sitting in it whilst in the showroom biglaugh - but it is only a lease, so not worried about it being perfect for the price.

Has anyone got a demo/stock car delivered yet? Think I had seen a reddit post about a few collections today.

Mod edit, no referral codes please

Motorway called me today to tell me they sold my car - even though I need it for another 3 weeks. Let’s hope they get the Tesla into the warehouse in the next few weeks.

I went ahead with one of these deals on Thursday (12th). I had visited a local showroom to have a look at one and take it for a drive - all very easy and was given plenty of time to test drive. The sales guy in the showroom was helpful and basically said that to get a car on the deal and ensure delivery in September you needed to sign up for a car available on the Tesla website as a pre-configured vehicle. Luckily there was a car available that much matched the spec I wanted - Quicksilver, black interior and a tow hitch. Only compromise was the car had 20" wheels and I would have been happy with 19". The car was showing as in stock in Southampton, so not too far from where I live.

Signed up for it there and then, finance approved straightaway and delivery date confirmed a day later. I am collecting it on the 26th.

I used a referral code which said would give £1,000 discount, but just seemed to reduce the monthly payments by around £10. There are a few rumours online that it will give some additional credit for charging, but I will wait and see on that. As standard the cars get supplied with credit for 100 miles of supercharging.

I have signed up for 15k miles a year, and with the car and mileage allowance I get from work it works out as free motoring for the next three years.

PCH will include VAT, it’s not legal to quote otherwise

I assumed on a BCH it would take the VAT away from the £299 but it seems like its 20% more expensive on a BCH.

The PCH must be making a loss for them, well under 15k to cover finance and depreciation over 3 years is nothing. With BCH they know most businesses will get half the vat back and it comes out of pre tax money with minimal BIK so still cheap, therefore Tesla don’t subsidise to the same extent

Hi Folks. I have a nail through my right rear tyre causing a slow puncture. Tesla app only offers a pickup to a service centre 35 miles away. I have an appointment pencilled in at my local tyre centre tomorrow, although they'll be looking to see if they can repair, as they don't have stock of the Hankook.

How have those of you with company cars gone about tyre replacements? Tesla, or local fitter once they've ordered in stock?

When you change it to 0 deposit the monthly price doesnt seem that good. The LR seems to be £500+pcm.

Morning All. Has anybody else's 2024 Model Y been forgetting their priority Bluetooth device every time they get in? Mine is really beginning to piss me off now. The phone key part of the connection still works fine.
