I just posted the manual links up on the main thread over here:

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

The official forum is great for info, better to go straight there:

Why has no one asked any of the good questions yet?

There is very little information (even from Toyota) about this car.

It has a 43ltr fuel tank, but what fuel does it require (is it 95 or 97+).
Fuel consumption, from what I have seen, 34mpg at 75mph? can we get some confirmation on what the wltp figures are as those are not floating around either.

Service intervals? What nasty shocks are coming to potential new owners?

I know these are mundane question but they do need answering for potential owners.
All these questions have been answered on the main thread https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

However:

Fuel Is 98+ Can run on 95 if that is all that’s available but won’t achieve full performance.

27.4mpg averaged over 1,024 miles split between motorway miles on cruise and B road fun. Some who have been doing longer motorway miles have been seeing over 35mpg.

WLTP combined is 212.9g/km source: https://www.toyota-europe.com/download/cms/euen/14...

Servicing is every 6,000 miles / 12 months what ever comes first and requires a safety check every 6 months.

Servicing is £165 / £375 / 165 / £375 and the 6 month check is free if in line with servicing or £50 outside of this.

Brake pads are under £100 however front discs are about £1200

So will you be interested in getting one?

Its cheaper than a Subaru to run laugh though the discs are on par with my RCZR's 380mm Alcon's, probably wont need changing for 40-50k though.
Some people will still be in for a shock at how much it will cost to run, good job Shell Vpower is fairly cheap at the moment winksmile

There's actually tons of information! The main thread (over 100 pages) for this car is in the general section I believe. There is also a dedicated forum for the GR in the UK (Google it), as well as quite a few very active Facebook groups.

Delighted to say we have a GR in White with CP arriving March 23rd. Will be P/exing or selling Molly's one year old Golf R for one. We have both been fortunate to be given the chance to drive a GR; our first reactions were that it made us smile plus it certainly goes ! There is no doubt that it feels special which it certainly is. I very much doubt that we will miss the luxury and sheer all round ability of the Golf because we will be having fun so we will forgive the lack of interior refinement. Something that has surprised me is the professionalism, efficiency and courtesy provided by Mortorline Toyota in Hereford throughout all our dealings so far. To recieve a call on Christmas Eve confirming our Order Number made our Christmas.
