Think that came out quite early on Sunday that he had miss-shifted. Can happen to any manual and as he’s said in Mishas video one of the reasons they try to avoid having manual rentals. https://youtu.be/VY4YC3Y-d6k

I think you're confused, if it's for your parents you want the shopping trolley Yaris without the 'GR' bit. Unless your dad is Ari Vatanen.
Isn't that a bit "generationist" or ageist. In the highly unlikely event that one of my offspring won the lottery and bought me a (choose) McLaren/Ferrari or Lotus or Caterham I would be delighted, even if I'm not Jos Verstappen.Kawasicki said:

Arrived Portbury 25th Feb
At Derby I think 1st March
Arrived Dealer 8th March
I'd say yours is due any minute tbh.

My maths tells me something is wrong here, I'm starting to suspect the delay might be caused by the dealer...
- Waiting for parts, is it a Circuit pack or not?
- It’s been damaged, and is waiting for parts, this could be something very minor, but GR specific parts will be harder to source.
Damage is way more common than you’d expect, if it’s (for example) fallen off a truck and is f*cked, you’d know about it by now, if they’ve discovered a broken grille panel, they are probably waiting for a new part from Japan.
(I’ve never had one fall off a transporter by the way!
But I have seen a RAV4 arrive with the side ripped open like a sardine can after the driver caught a gantry at the port!)

They had a Forester STI for about 6 years up until a couple of years back and already have the Gazoo Racing Japan version (NCP131). i believe its the only one in the country. In addition they also have a standard 5 door yaris. so have enough for the shopping
what i choose to buy them as a thank you. its entirely up to myself, although appreciate your input
just disappointed with the turn around time.

If it’s still at Burnaston, for more than 3 weeks (which is fairly normal) it’s *possibly* one of 2 things.

I'm guessing it is indeed parts and supply related, and I'll be making sure to check it over even more closely at collection. Looks like a few that have been stuck at Portbury since 9th Feb. Frustrating but at least in my case it's not like I am doing much in the way of driving yet.. it's just the wait that is hard!- Waiting for parts, is it a Circuit pack or not?

Feel free to mercilessly take the piss but does anybody know if a tow bar can be installed on the GR ? I see a normal Yaris has an option so wondering if it would fit the GR. Not for towing a caravan but for use for a tow bar mounted bike rack.
The bike could be disassembled and out in the back but dirty bikes do make a mess of the interior even if being careful.
Before people say it yes could use a different car/van/ shed etc to take the bike but would be good to have the option of it is doable.
Cheers p

The normal Yaris bears no relevance to the GR so no tow bar from it will fit. I can't find anyone who's fitted one to a GR, but here's the underside... doesn't look easy...The bike could be disassembled and out in the back but dirty bikes do make a mess of the interior even if being careful.

Edit: Not that it stops you finding a third party option, but verbatim from the GR Yaris manual:
"Trailer towing: Toyota does not recommend towing a trailer with your vehicle. Toyota also does not recommend the installation of a tow hitch or the use of a tow hitch carrier for a wheelchair, scooter, bicycle, etc. Your vehicle is not designed for trailer towing or for the use of tow hitch mounted carriers."

Perfect, exactly what I wanted to know.
Many thanks

That's worrying. I'm also puzzled there have been deliveries for those arrived at Portbury days later. Hoping it's just logistics than issues with the car.

You'd have to use on of those carriers which clips onto the tailgate like this: https://www.99bikes.com.au/car-rack-trunk-thule-cl...The bike could be disassembled and out in the back but dirty bikes do make a mess of the interior even if being careful.

Note that the tailgate is made from aluminium so I wouldn't chuck too much weight onto a rack!

I don’t think I’d want to be running any bike and rack on the aluminium boot. Note that the tailgate is made from aluminium so I wouldn't chuck too much weight onto a rack!
