Not even the circuit pack either...
I think all Mk2 are circuit packs as hardly anyone bought the non-circuit pack cars.

I got my red car cermaic coated a few days after collection so its much easier to maintain. I think it looks fantastic.
Yes, but the forged wheels are now an option IIRC, hence the 'look' of an original non-circuit pack car.

Depends on country. UK the wheels are standard fit. But each country have specified different kit and allowed different options to be specified.

Indeed, ‘twas always thus. “Circuit Pack” itself was only a UK designation, but the prevalence of the things there means people often just say that for cars in other markets!

I am sure everyone has seen pictures of the two special edition cars fitted with quite nice rear wings. I wondered if they were available to order through Toyota as fancied the Rovanpera car's spoiler for my MK1.

Rovanpera rear wing £18,900 incl VAT.

Ogier rear wing £19,500 incl VAT.

WOW....I seriously though they would be around £5k, no wonder the cars are £60k.

I wonder if that’s to stop people turning their cars into replicas and if you had one of the specials you’d be offered a lower price?

Sounds like a lot of money but if you want one, that's the price. It's not as if it's an essential item. Understandable that Toyota don't want to make it easy for people to copy the specials.

I'm sure someone will produce an ebay rep for £500 in due course.

I just had a call and email from Berni saying I had been successful in the ballot, despite telling me last year I was unsuccessful. All colours available in manual and auto, other than pearl white which is auto only.
I won't be going ahead at the moment though, bad timing sadly.

They’ve been working along the list with the cars that have been turned down. I suspect the downside of a 10,000+ waitlist is not everyone is in a position to say yes or like the new offering.

What's the back-story? Surely not for production??

That'll be some serious performance for a new MR-2! Are they pushing it further up market?

In the press brief they suggested Celica.

Folks, anyone running an Ecutek remap from the likes of Litchfield / Whiffbitz in particular the remote tuning phoneflash option and have any thoughts..??

It’s great. Bolsters the midrange without feeling too ‘boosty’ like the DTUK, makes a more determined lunge for the redline than standard too. Very linear, and consistent. Doesn’t seem to hold back a bit like the OEM map is wont to sometimes either.

Absolutely zero issue with warning lights, hesitation etc., just like standard.

Flashing process was quick and easy (I went with Litchfield) and the Ecutek logging and dashboard is fun to play around with.

Very happy.

Great feedback thanks for that - I think that's my mind made up smile

Anyone used Whiftbitz before? Seems like they know their stuff for Toyota's.

Assume any remap or touching of the ECU invalidates the 10 year warranty?

I cannot see any way it wouldn't but an email to Toyota should put your mind at rest, or not. biggrin

Bear in mind as well the 10 year warranty is conditional on maintaining the service schedule with Toyota.

Thanks. That's what I thought. Haven't had a car mapped in a decade so thought I'd ask if anything had changed. Feels like going back to being a teenager again with maps, filters and exhausts biggrin

I have a Whifbitz exhaust on mine plus some other bits and can't fault them and the service hence why I was a bit torn between them and Litchfield for the Ecutek remap. However, the latter also offer a 12 month engine warranty which has pretty much swung it for me.
