Are Toyota building 1 a week or something.
Best to post here, it’s where most people have been discussing the GR86Are Toyota building 1 a week or something.
Also, the 2022 allocation sold out in under 2 hours.

GR86 - Top speed calculation?
Not an easy question to answer but who knows? I just want to know what to expect from the GR86.
There will be some assumptions from my side and if anything is wrong let me know.
I´m afraid the FI route could be a world of pain and I want to keep it as reliable as possible.
Let´s say new mainfold + exhaust & remap makes 220whp@7000rpm
If thats the case, could I expect the GR86 to reach 7000 rpm in 6th gear?
Data to use for calculation.
GR86
7000 rpm = 220 whp
7000 rpm = 165 mph
Drag coefficient: 0,28
Frontal area: ?
As a reference:
E46 330i (231 hp) had a top speed of 155 mph
Drag coefficient: 0,31
My slightly tuned Meg265 will do 157 mph on the GPS @6000 rpm in 6th. The car
has ~280hp@6000rpm). I really enjoy to deploy afterburner mode when
I´m on the motorway so I don´t want a slower car then my Meg265 for that reason.
The drag coefficiant on the Meg is 0,34 and frontal area is 2,21 m2.
Note: English is not my native language, sorry.

I got my order confirmation on 20th and I still have no idea of the delivery date, or even delivery year! I called the number Toyota has provided and their recorded message actually tells anyone calling about the GR86 that they will be contacted "in the coming days". The Customer Portal says essentially the same thing.
It's pretty shoddy and it's souring the experience for me a bit.

My experience is exactly the same, although I held on the line after the message, 'cos I wanted to put my new reg plate against the ORCA number and the gezza still couldn't give me any more infoIt's pretty shoddy and it's souring the experience for me a bit.

I know I've placed an order, I'd just like some information about when I'm getting my car!
+1Had a call from my local dealer earlier this week asking for my order number to see if they could give me an update, haven't heard from them since. I have a feeling that I won't be getting a car until next year based on those who have been contacted and quoted sept/oct delivery (they had a confirmed order email prior to 10.15am on the day and mine was post 10.30)
Just had one drive past me in a supermarket car park... looked good.
I'm in Florida on holiday. Had a brief thought about popping into a Toyota dealer to have a nosey. I doubt they'd let me test drive one but you never know.
Wife will no doubt veto this anyhow... "...you already have a nice car..."

I think the decision has already been made for you, sounds like you won't be able to get hold of one unless you got an order in during that initial 90 minute slot.I'm in Florida on holiday. The local dealer here has it in stock at list price.
Guess it's because it's not a gas guzzling truck that they're not all sold out in the US?
I presume we'll be seeing them for sale "used" in the UK for £35k plus.
Always interested in new pretenders to the throne, but I'm fairly sure I'd have stuck with my Cayman.
