Megane equivalent, Renault 5 hehe (e-car)? and the A110 I guess
Suggestion is that all electric and they are a new A110 developed with Lotus, R5 hot hatch and a "grand tourer"

Just got back from another business trip, this time to near Huddersfield. Took the scenic route, so adding gratuitous image of car on brooding moors.
Fantastic driving over the Peaks - perfect car for the narrow winding roads.

Also saw my first other Alpine on the road near Oxford (M40), yellow with black roof. Although passing at high speed in opposite directions was unmistakable and very eye catching ... anyone on here?

Oh right I forgot they were all going electric. I quite like the idea of an electric R5 hot hatch I have to say! I liked the little Honda thing, I'm generally a fan of these retro-e-cars that are cropping up everywhere. That Grand Tourer looks a bit too SUV-esque for my liking but can't really comment on the basis of a single line drawing

Edit: Oh just seen the PH story: https://www.pistonheads.com/news/electric-vehicles...

The electric R5 concept looked brilliant.

Glynn Hopkins are opening a second Alpine dealership in Chelmsford. Great news for me as its only 30 minutes away rather than the long trek to St Albans.

Just got my car back from London West. They've done a good job and just in time. Off to Wheels-in-motion tomorrow for the Life110 geometry settings and then off to Wales and the Lake District to get her run and and show her of to my folks!

Fabulous, enjoy! Although do manage expectations in the lakes at the mo - it's absolutely <heaving>*.

+1 for the Lifef110 geo btw - appreciable reduction in on centre 'stickiness', improvement in straight line running and increased initial response away from centre. Am sure you'll love it.

(*Had to queue for the Kirkstone pass earlier this month, pfffft!)

Finally got my car!

I know it's bright orange, but the attention it gets is unbelievable. Had a lot of people wandering around the car trying to look for badges as mine are off right now. Someone in a GTR asked me if it was a Porshe :P

Done about 240 miles so far, about 20 in the center of London, other 220 driving on the motorway/A-roads. Very special so far, loving every minute. Can't wait to get the run in period over with.

Couple of quick snaps from the first stop over of our quick tour of Wales and the North West.

Couple of observations now I've done some actual miles in the car...

The Life110 geo settings are well worth getting, I'd say essential. The immediate different to how it feels on motorways etc was noteworthy. Much more stable and less prone to wandering.

The "comfort" seats aren't that supportive. I spent around 4 hours driving yesterday and they really could do with some lumbar support. That said I wasn't aching etc, just realized I kept slumping.

It's not a GT. I know that sounds obvious but there's quite a bit of wind noise from the front, I think it's the windscreen wipers, also it is a little loud at motorway speeds.

All that said, I do love it! Looking forward to getting onto done proper roads later this morning. Think I should get over 1000km later today and then start opening the taps a little more!

Oh fantastic - is that Acropolis Orange? Looks incredible, and guaranteed to be rare for a long time yet since you can't order it any more. Can't be much more than number 002 or 003, right?

I suspect everyone within 2 miles knows it's bright orange! That looks ace - are the wheels grey?

A bit more lumbar support would be good. I find just tweaking the back angle every hour or so is enough to stop any aches though.

I must investigate the geo stuff further - I've not found anyone able/willing to do it yet (I'm on the Hampshire/Surrey border).

I got mine done at wheels in motion. Not crazy far from you and they've always done a good job with my cars.

Agree re tweaking the back angle, that definitely helps

Ta - just over an hour away by the looks of it. Unless I go the wiggly way, which I'm sure is important for fully assessing the changes - I'm sure I can work out a route that takes in the bit from Sunningdale to Maidenhead without adding more than an hour...

Interesting comments. I must try the Life110 settings. Some like yourself find a big improvement, others say it's only subtle. I personally don't have an issue with straight line stability (though I know many do) which explains why I haven't got a round tuit.

I don't find wind noise noticeable either and if you do I suspect there might be an issue with your car. Road noise (though modest by class standards) is much louder in my car. Conversation in normal tones is fine in mine at Autobahn speeds on all but the coarsest of motorway surfaces.
