Kart centre owe him an apology not the other way around. You can't black flag someone for something so stupid as being sarcastic. Not really any excusing the kart being flipped over at an employee though. Anyone who has another opinion on the initial black flagging must not have experienced a race being ruined by a part time flag waver.

The other side of it is if somebody is taking racing that seriously they would be as well off to own their own machine and race in a place where marshals actually have a clue about their duty.
To be fair the issue is the tracks are so narrow and there are some very slow drivers on these events so can be frustrating for the faster . The slower drives typically also have a complex and make themselves as wide as possible. I went to Teamsport about 5 years ago in Farnborough. Was fun, but I'm too old for that now. The young lad had to give me a hand up. Embarrassing .
I went karting with some mates 3 of us all same pace and racing while others were way off and slow so you make silly lunges to get past and some are sometimes 8 seconds slower. Should have it so you have to be quicker than a certain time to be allowed out for safety. Well that's how Club 100 do there BUKC license

Surely the fact that anybody can do it is the whole point and negotiating slower drivers is part of the fun.

As I've said, because the slower drivers often have a complex and make their karts as wide as possible, meaning you literally cannot get past without doing a lunge!

Good idea, have one session with all karts and then split the groups down based on laptimes if possible

Sessions would be good. Rookie, Intermediate & Experienced and book the slot based on how you feel you are.

They do keep the kids out of the adult ones. They are hilarious, pulling over to chat to each other while blocking the track, going in the pits the wrong way and even driving around the track the wrong way. We once ended up in a group with kids and did 7 laps in 15 minutes! It must have taken me 5 mins to leave the pits! They did give us a free session and apologised.

Public sessions aren't busy enough for types of driving abilities and who is to say what ability you are. Most people go in groups and so want to drive together.

Teamsport do have a 'Pro' type of membership with events for better drivers. We've just done this and are looking forward to being last regularly hehe

Another way for similar driving ability is if a uni student join their society that do karting and they book the track out for evening and all is fair racing.
