That's an extremely good video, the guy is obviously very good at making them.If one was looking to get in an Emira (v6) there seems to be a lot of great value cars for sale. But say one was looking to buy from a lotus dealer and looking at a car 60k or just under would one expect to be able to negotiate a bit of wiggle room on price.Be interested to know if anyone on here has squeezed main dealers down a bit on price.

have you got the auto trader price tracker extension on your browser? helps a lot in knowing how long they have had it and pricing. Also, if you arent aware in the autotrader url the first advertised date is seen after the words "car-details/"
Its in reverse but this car has been on the market since 10th May 2024 for example
https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202405109...

Looking at that car for example, I’d put it car at around £57-£58k personallyAlso, if you arent aware in the autotrader url the first advertised date is seen after the words "car-details/"

I only used a dealer as I wanted to PX. As referenced on another thread, the Elise market is flatter than a piece of A4 and I didn’t want my final edition taking up residence in the classifieds like the others.
If not for that, I’d buy your Emira private. They are all under warranty. Satisfy yourself the car hasn’t been damaged and buy private. No disrespect but dealers need a profit margin. Private sellers are entirely involved in damage limitation. I suspect many private sellers are struggling to reconcile current values, which is understandable. Especially if they bought brand new. That said, once they’ve had a taste of dealer offers, the idea of getting a few k more must have appeal. May take a while and you will do more legwork, but lots to be saved.

Nothing like taking the old gal out on a romantic sunrise trip to the nearest fly tipping.

Damn I love this car. It is so well planted, I have about 80% more confidence going into corners than I did with the F-type.
I’ve also been loving the little things, like the Rev redline slowly creeping higher as the engine warms up.
The boost display when you’re in track mode.
Launch control is also very very fun.
And the sound of that V6, just incredible.
Now time for a good clean as it’s pretty filthy. Still very happy with my purchase. It’s a lot of car for the price if you buy second hand.

Pushed the button on this today from Bell and Colvill it's a v6 touring pack was up for 59k got it for 58k and they are going to do the service which is due in April but hopefully going to get that done for me next week.
Looks great. Interested in how you think it compares to the Noble. My Exige feels like the Noble’s younger, livelier brother. What's the general consensus on buying a car with known warranty repairs (both past and current?) Currently considering a purchase where some common Emira issues have already been fixed and a couple more are known and will be completed as a condition of sale.
Positives - I know they have been fixed and therefore have increased peace of mind I won't be the one to encounter them
Negatives - The car is a potential lemon and there are more waiting. Walk away and reconsider.
Opinions appreciated, thanks!
