Not heard of anyone that has had the replacements carried out, then needing it to be done again. However the work to replace the doors is quite recent, so they may not have had time to bubble again.
Ask on the tour and see how honest you think the answer is. Then let us all know, as it info, we are all very interested in

Quite a long way in the life of k-series in Caterhams back in the day I asked them about the prevalence of HG failures. The answer I got was "I don't think we've ever had one"

Along with the reason for the caterham k-series R500 issues was that "owners don't warm them up properly". Which is what TVR said about the chocolate finger followers in the speed 6!
Anyway, I digress!
When I took my Elise to a well known Lotus specialist (Miles Wilkins at Fibreglass Services...) he told me to make sure I warmed it up properly before going on track because 'it has a water pump from a Metro and the longest top hose in motoring history...'

I'll report back, regardless I put a deposit down on a Senneca Blue today , I saw one on the road yesterday and it looked amazing, I decided it was fate. I'll keep the 911 for a while just because I'm a little twitchy about it falling apart Ask on the tour and see how honest you think the answer is. Thanks - just have massive hives about the white leather now.. ordered some gtecniq L1, I note everyone says not to wear jeans which is a big challenge for me
I was looking to get the Ice Grey leather, but saw a 6 month old car, that had been fully prep'd by a dealer and no matter how hard they had tried, they could not get a very dark patch on the door side of the drivers seat cleaned up. I'm guessing it was where the previous owner put his hand when climbing in/out. Put me off the option completely and then a week later the car I wanted in Black Leather became available, so that was the car I bought.

The wife’s Tesla has white pleather and is a nightmare if you don’t look after it. Dyed blue or black jeans are a total no no.
A week after getting it a mate with blue jeans sat in with a heated seat on. Jeans were a few years old and lots of washes but still left a blue ass print that was impossible to remove. Had to have a new seat cover fitted.
It’s coated in protector but still marks easily.
Also had an M6 with similar colour ivory and was a nightmare. Never again!

Got some Gtechniq Leather Guard and booked it in for with the detailer too, if I think about it too much I'll be riddled with anxiety so I'm just going to assume that this and regular cleaning will keep it looking respectable. Going to have to buy white clothes only I guess.

Just picked up my Seneca blue with white leather today (in jeans) and have a bottle of Gtechniq Leather Guard ready to apply tomorrow. Luckily whoever owned it before me mustve taken good care of it because I cant see any marks in the leather anywhere, or the dealer did an amazing job of cleaning it up.I am thinking of investing in some non-jean light trousers though, before we get to summer and then its shorts all the way!
