Test drove an Electre this week . Was really disappointed with both performance and road/wind noise . This was the R . I fancied an s to replace my Taycan Turbo as I want to be able to tow my hillclimb car ,but I guess that would feel really slow ?
I really wanted to like it .

Exactly how I felt. Was about 99% sure I was going to order an R on the day, pre test drive. I really wanted to like it .

The R was soulless during test drive. Felt nothing whatsoever.
A Taycan on the other hand, man that thing can move and is like driving on rails.
Depreciates nearly as quickly as it moves though!
I paid my local dealer a visit today and had a prod round their showroom car and few stock cars.
What have most folks opted for ? The R would be my preference but the cost diff is substantial from the S and I’m wondering if it’s worth the jump. Or a better spec'd S which is probably all I'll need in the real world.
Anyone got thoughts on must have options ?
The 0% APR for PCP at the moment is very tempting

From a purely range perspective, I’ve opted for the S. I test drove both and whilst the R is bonkers fast and acceleration is insane, the reality is the range suffers massively. Having said that it is a 900bhp+ EV so it is to be expected. What has most folks went for ? I felt the S was extremely well equipped and whilst the R has some nice additions, the additional cost, reduced range and increased insurance, it wasn’t worth it for me.

would be interested to hear if you added any options. Colour aswell, as it seems pretty limited.I felt the S was extremely well equipped and whilst the R has some nice additions, the additional cost, reduced range and increased insurance, it wasn’t worth it for me.

After ordering on my birthday 3rd July and 4 long months, today was the day I collected my S off the back of the ridiculous deals that we’re doing the rounds End of June/Beginning of July.
Absolutely blown away by it! Prep and handover of the car by JCT600 Lotus Bradford were second to none, worth making the journey to experience my first showroom handover.
