I can’t say that does anything for me. Looks a bit st. Never thought I would say that about a Ferrari, it just doesn’t ooze desirability.

End of the V8 is a bit like when they started putting water in the flat 6. Sad days.

See, looks wise, I think she looks a whole lot better than the dogs dinners that the V8s were turning into.
I just think they have missed a trick with not releasing the standard V6 first @ £150k and calling her a Dino, then doing the hybrid 800+ HP job at the higher price.

Looks like a Lotus Evora to me yikes

I know R8 owners always get "the nice audi mate" issue but just imagine Ferrari drivers getting "the nice lotus mate" eek

After owning a form of 911 for over 30 years, I couldn't have put it better - first time I've seen words telling the story as it is

Think it looks great. Just a bit disappointed they didn’t call it ‘296 Dino’, given the V6. But wouldn’t put me off getting one (unlike the price - around £230k - which does, sadly).

No problem. I bought my 430 because it was the nearest I could get to the handling and steering of my old Lotus. And thats a compliment to Ferrari.

I think it looks great in the photos and have an invitation to see one in the flesh in a couple of weeks so will see what I make of it then. Much as I love the naturally aspirated V8s and 12s for those of us who actually like to use the cars to tour, some ability to drive into certain cities while emitting zero CO2 is clearly going to be necessary.

Is the 296 a replacement for the F8, so end of V8 Ferrari models?

You sure you don't mean nice TT mate ? It is an Audi. I have one :-) I mostly get "nice car mate" and "that's my dream car". Nice Audi mate would make sense?

To the other poster re. Corvette front end. That's what sprang to mind for me, before I read your post. Love the rear deck mind you.

Yes. Same with McLaren. Smae with Pork and the 4 cylinder. All about emissions and fuel consumption - a V6 has less pumping losses than a V8. Add in the Dyson bit and before you know it you have a Ferrari below 100mg and Ok in the various low emission zones world wide. Its the way the wind is blowing.
