Ott Tanak has rejoined M-Sport.

Wonder what the deal was?

"Hi Malcolm, its Ott"
"Richard is in charge of the team now Ott"
"you pay me one million dollar to drive for you"
"seems excessive, what other deals do you have on the table"
"Dirtfish stage end reporter"
"and that pays $1m?"
"ok, I drive for free"
"sign here"

or something like that.

Wouldn't be the first name you'd pick; came across as a bit inept at Renault. However, it's Hyundai, what do you expect?

He actually makes a fair few points; the problem is too many in the WRC have their heads buried in the sand.....
And they have had them buried for far too long.........

Is it part of a bigger story; leading Hyundai to F1....??? Seems unlikely....

That's what the rumours are saying, a part-time "customer" seat in a Yaris Rally1..... fingers crossed!

Maybe Ford finally have enough budget from people to not necessarily need him anymore for the cash, I do not think he ever really deserved a fll ride and he started having crashes last year more so was costing them a bit more, the R5 team is full so he had nowhere else to go. His experience will be useful to someone no doubt as will his dollars.
