Roger Albert Clark Rally 2023
Discussion
Entry update today 173(5 TBA), seven available. - http://files.freethought.website/freethought27/fil...
Looking forward to this, I've been to the Welsh leg a good few times now; but this time we have a camper van booked for Wednesday to Monday - really excited to follow the entire rally.
Hoping the spectator guide comes out soon so I can get planning.
Question for anyone who has camped overnight in the stages before (I used to on Rally GB), do they historically open the stage car parks the night before on the Roger Albert Clark?
Scott.

Presume that's 4 TBA's remaining then ?
RAC Facebook - The Northern Irishman will drive a freshly built historic specification Ford Escort Mk2 from the Wales Motorsport team ....“For sure it's going to be a huge challenge,” Meeke said. “I have a real thing from my childhood for old school rallies and the way it used to be. To say I'm excited to do it is an understatement as it's been on my bucket list for a long time, but the opportunity to do it has never presented itself before. This is the culmination of several months of planning with Meirion Evans from Wales Motorsport.” ......The dialogue between Meeke and Evans started back in the spring. “Meirion does build a very, very good car so it should be a strong package. I've seen the attention to detail on the cars he builds.”
Others .... Stratos ?

so another A -lister driver wants to have a go . You have to wonder whether we actually need a WRC round in Britain? Surely we could just use the RAC, in its current format and ask for an exemption to the WRC rally rules.
It's a pity I'm not based up north any more, I'd be off to see this event for sure.

Not the same Chris Ingram as ERC.But this one is.

Ingram set for TR7 V8 challenge on Roger Albert Clark Rally.
Former European Rally champion Chris Ingram is the latest star driver to join the entry list for the Roger Albert Clark Rally after confirming that he will tackle the rally in a Triumph TR7 V8 from David Appleby Engineering.
Ingram will drive the first of the replica works cars being built by Appleby’s team on the November 23-27 rally and hopes to take the fight to the Ford Escort Mk2s including those of Kris Meeke and Oliver Solberg.
Ingram said: “It will be an amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience. Everyone's raving about how the rally is just like the old days and it will be five full days on legendary stages in a legendary car. It will be so much fun and a hell of a challenge. I've never done a rally in a historic car so it will be brilliant. We've got to go and try to win it!”

Just one TBA Entrant remains but curiously Robbo/Sambo using a TBA ?
I wondered if the Stratos might be out, it's been on test and was entered in the MFR along with Perez Snr. in the 911. Seb is now on the latest version in the Porsche.
Steve's RAC entry in an Escort is directly under the remaining TBA though ....

- cough* let's be pedantic about this - when BEP posted on 26th Sept, Car 168 "Christopher Ingram" was on the list. That is *not* the ERC Champion Chris Ingram, who's entry was announced this week and is listed as Car 33 on the unseeded list.

Possibly not in the Escort, something a little different, something Japanese maybe . . .
I did wonder about that, think they like to be in the mix with all the 2wd's so dismissed it.I note something similar to what I think you refer to is having an airing shortly before. So I'd not ruled it out.
Unless I've completely miscalculated
