Nice one Steve, enjoy your car mate, I know from our brief conflab that you've owned as many branded 'supercars' as me and will probably continue to do so. BUT YOU are enjoying your new toy.... Maybe there should be a website for people like that or was Petrolheads.com taken.....

There does seem to be mixed reactions to a lot of "replicars"
People moan about MR2 "Ferraris" but are happy with a MX5 "Aston Martin", complain about a Capri "Aston" and a Pinto "Cobra" but are happy with something similar but with a RV8.
As for the multitude of 7 "replicas"......
Each to ones own, I think, personally there are a lot of "kits" I dislike for varying reasons and a lot that I like.
The Tribute IMO and only my opinion, was slightly out of proportion as standard. Not out of proportion compared to a 250 just not "quite right". I could say that for a lot of production cars too I hasten to add.
The recent poster (Steve?) says he's modded a lot of the car now in his posession, probably to overcome some of the shortcomings.
It would be nice to see it when it is completed, I'm sure many here will like it and so may I.
Enjoy YOUR car and to hell with the complainers.

I'm going to buy one of these kits. I will paint it black, give it a wooden wheel, some wire wheels and a few other little things before badging it as a TRIBUTE. Not a ferrari, or alfa, or replica, but as it's own unique vehicle design.

It's a tribute to the great 60s racers, not a replica. And for 5k what are you expecting from an mx5 based kit?

Consider my next car decided and another MX250 sold.
