Well many people have been confronted with this same question....

You had lots of fun with your GTR, but have been left wanting more...
Need to maker that next step, better Handling more down-force etc...

Well the GD T70 is a lovely open top car, which I have no doubt in a straight fight would beat a GTR round most tracks... But I need a closed coupe..... How about a T70 coupe, well I went out in Martin Bells T70MK3B Yet again lovely car but very claustrophobic, even I realise there's less room than both my GT40 and my GTR......

So what do i do....

Well similar to "Andy GTT", another Ex Ultima owner and Close friend... You build your own car that better suits your Dreams....
So thats what I'm doing, but with a Twist.. I'm emigrating to Canada, and intend to start selling them once I've had the moulds made...

Chassis is finished and God am I happy.... It looks a thing of beauty....

With a Torsional Stiffness in the High teens, Inboard suspension, Speed sensitive electronically controlled power steering, no drop floor to bugger up the under car areo but still with enough head room for a 6'5" person with a Helmit, less pedal offset and a steering wheel actually directly in-front of you, a useful Rear Diffuser and the list goes on....
Trust me I haven't even finished with the improvements yet....

Oh yes and the big one that I'm really proud off, we look on target for our 900 to 950 Kgs finished car wet with fluids...

Need to start a web-sight soon as have had a lot of interest, and just thought I'd post here to let the world know that I to am following my dream.....Corny or what...

Do you have dates yet for your move over the pond?

I too have the pictures and have been waiting for you to come out so to speak.
Keeping secrets is a real pain particularly when you know how good something is and how well it is going to be received.

Get those pics up somewhere.

It sounds like a great project indeed, is this a modern Gt40 design update? the design brief sounds similar...can you post the sketches.

The best of luck with your project,
Cheers

The body takes inspiration from many cars, but in the end it will still look like a Le Mans
car with number plates..... Wings, Diffuser vents etc.. but all designed to be SVA Friendly...
Have also got a centrally mounted 100 Litre Fuel tank, for those long interstate drives....
and to bring the weight closer to the middle of the car... Lower Polar moment of inertia etc etc

Hope you like it....

Looking good. Not entirely sure I'd be happy about having the rear suspension bolted to a couple of bits of ply though
