Is it registered, or is it a track-only toy?

Factory Five Daytona Coupe I finished around a year ago.

Sold it now, but still have the Dax Cobra I built 24 years ago smile

looks good, well done, the latest from F5 finally have 'normal useable side windows, like the Superformance models have, If I ever but a Daytona Coupe, then it has to have the 'normal' side windows.
What I like about the F5 Daytona's is their lower weight, but that mostly means more 'kit' car empty I believe.

What was the weight of your F5, did you weigh it? and what 'series' or how you say such, every updated/changed F5 Daytona which came later have I believe sort build codes/names?

It's been sva/iva'd many years ago. It will be a road going car although I will be using it mostly for trackdays.
Engine is an RS Turbo, dyno printout of 175bhp so should be fun.
Last mot was 2015 i think so just going through everything at the moment.
Oil, coolant, brake fluid. Diff and gearbox oil. All these will be changed/flushed.
Will most likely make a new wiring loom as it came with a new fuse/relay box and wiring is a bit iffy in places.
Brakes and suspension will need going over.
Might put it in for an mot soon just so i can take it for a spin but otherwise it'll live in the garage til spring.

Was that aimed at me ? If so i do plan on making a few little updates on my findings along the way. Repairs, upgrades, maintenance and more than likely a ton of questions.

Hi, Im afraid FFR figures aren't correct for the weight, mine was somewhere around 1300KG and this was similar to a couple of others I heard from that had been built in the UK.

It is the latest version (Gen 3)

ow, hah, thats more then some ad figures or 'hope' figures gave, I've seen (on the web) weights from high in the 900 kg to around 1100 kg,
say a Superformance (a bit more luxe) weighs around 1350 kg or so at least on the web, maybe in real life more.

But did not thought those like yours also come in at 1300, ok yours also has a bit clothing inside instead of just alu were you look at, but still, more then I thought, now I wonder what a Superformance weights in real life compared to say a build like yours.

There seem to be a few Superformance in the UK also RHD , do you know any of those who weighed their Superformance Daytonas?

Can’t remember if I’ve posted a pic of the Spyder yet. I bought it 7 years ago as a rolling chassis with the body balanced on top. I finished it as a copy of the car raced in the 1959 LM24 by Ed Hugus and Ernie Erickson. The original car was up for auction recently with a a price guide of $4-5M. Mine did’nt cost quite that much.
