About time too

Ever noticed how life has little regard for your plans?
It must be 4 years + since I bought the Taimar and aside from keeping her dry, little else was accomplished. I moved house and so now my time is taken renovating a cottage but I got the itch to tinker a few weeks back , just an hour pinched here and there but enjoyed the change of scenery.

Task 1 was to remove the wiring, all labelled up but so many DIY adds on and stumped cables, I want to replace the lot with a modern module with relays/fuses included.

After returning to the house one evening looking like a self harmer, the dashboard is now removed

Next was the seats, seat belts, centre console followed by the carpets and underlay


Be interested to know what products have been found effective at removing the carpet fibres left stuck to the interior fibreglass?

On removing the front wheel arch liners, the dreaded corrosion is evident on both sides of the chassis. Not much else to be expected after 43 years I suppose

Being a Billy no mates and living in the middle of nowhere dictates the body lift needing a different approach to the usual "one bod per corner and another to roll the chassis" method, Despite my hopeless memory, I did recall a useful article by Oldgeebee ? Whereby the bodylift can be achieved solo.
I'm not completely done but the body is now free and all ancillaries are disconnected.
So until I get my workshop built and the garage can be cleared of the clutter, this is it for now.
