Here is where you are likely to run into trouble with Canada license and storage, unless you are a dual citizen or your are Canadian citizen complete with passport, and Canadian drivers license, that matches the same place of residence as your TVR is registered, you could be looking at some border crossing issues.
Questions like:
May I see your passport please?
What is the purpose of your visit? Where are you driving to? And how long do you expect to stay there?
Going on to any place else?
May I see your drivers license please? You are an American driving a Canadian registered car.
Why is your car registered at this address, but your drivers license has your residence at this other address?
Could you step out of the vehicle please? You don't mind if we search the car do you?
It only gets worse.

The US should just invade Canada and steal their 15 year exemption law. Glad to hear that you are enjoying the Tuscan Ken, feel free to take a trip down to sunny North Carolina anytime you like. If the journey is too much to take both ways, I can look after it for the summer and bring it back to Canada in the fall. I'm a nice guy like that.
Or, remove anything that is covered by FMVSS (lights, seat belts, brake hoses) the engine that the EPA doesn't approve of, and ship the resultant pile of parts to me and I will graft them onto my DIY build that has a Corvette engine (used), tubular chassis (used), fiberglass body (used) and whacky TVR-inspired interior (used). That way I can almost have as much fun as you without breaking a single law.

Congratulations on the new arrival! It's nice to see a few newer models getting over into Ontario now. There doesn't seem to be too many TVR-centric events here but I look forward to seeing it at British Car Day @ Bronte Park and the like this year. If you need any advice with anything on the car, I have a little knowledge that I brought across the pond with me.

KenInOntario, please bring it to either or both Mad Dogs and Englishmen event in September or to Out of the Woodwork this spring. You can watch your southern neighbors do their best to hide their envy, but really enjoy seeing your car, as it will be a very rare treat to see a modern Tuscan up close and in the flesh as it were. Don't let those customs guys at the border give you that cock and bull story about having to confiscate your car as a "product sample"
Insuring with Hagerty is mentioned above - they used to cover TVRs in the UK and the service was excellent but a few years ago they just stopped covering the later cars (they do cover the older cars but not sure off hand what the cut off is) so it will be interesting to see if they will cover a Tuscan in Canada/US so let us know what they say.
