I would stop watching if rules like these were implemented.

Why?.... unless I'm reading this wrong, the effect of these rule changes would be to increase the probability of on track overtaking and decrease the effectiveness of pit-stop stratergies.
When will somebody realise that it doesn't matter how much you change the engine, if everybody has the same then overtaking is virtually impossible!
Hmmmm .... trying NOT to take offence, but you seem to be having a go at my comments..... did I mention engines?!!!!!
Maybe you should read my other posts on this and other threads before jumping to conclusions.

Things like, a standard ECU would really dissappoint me. I would be happier if we kept all the techno garble but used ballast. I would be happier if there was just a standard issue front and rear wing but allow everything else to be the same. It could be a big wing but not very effective.

Some of F1's problem isn't just the lack of passing but the snobbery of the way the show is handled. It's very closed off to TV viewers and the in person audience.

Carbon brakes discs, BAR's entirely carbon gearbox, Beryllium alloy blocks & brake components really make the sport fascinating. I wish there was a way to subsidize the poorer teams. If they could get good engines from the previous year from the top teams or something? Or last years car but under confidential agreements about the design?

The FIA shouldn't over react because Ferrari is superior and other teams keep getting it wrong. Toyota with it's massive budget cant compete so you have to earn or engineer your car to win over time. BAR really have done well, Renault too, I can't help but wonder if they will eventually eclipse the red cars next year.
