RLL should never have been in that position, they need to find out what's wrong. One car in a team can be off and fixed, but all of them. Someone needs firing.
Ms Legge had no issues. unrepentant said:

Ms Legge had no issues. RLL were dog slow at Texas as well. Even though they won the 500 only 2 years ago in 2021 with Sato if you look at the quali speeds for 2021 and 2022 for all the RLL cars they are about the same as now and mid pack at best. The competition has progressed whilst they haven't. Watching the cars yesterday they just don't accelerate out of T2 and T4 like the others leaving them about 3mph or more short by the time they reach T1 and T4. Palou was coming out of T2 with a higher speed than the RLL cars had entering T3!.
It seems unlikely to be aero since you can wander up and down pit lane and see what everyone is running so that points to something in the mechanical preparation and setup.

She was the last official qualifier in 30th before the shootout for the 4 below her, so RLL had all 4 cars in the bottom 5 that's not good. Katherine's average in Saturday qualifying for 30th was 231.070mph, Lundgaard's that was 31st and dropped him into the shootout was 231.056mph.
Lundgaard does Indycar full time, Legge hasn't raced an Indycar in 10 years. Fantastic result for her to jump in and out qualify 4 full timers.Gassing Station | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
