F1 quali for me for a bit now, bizarre/slow start for the 1000. I have a feeling it could be one of those days in motorsport where mad st happens, Especially given the F1 madness occurring in Q1.

I'm in a hotel and found it by channel hopping. We're now up to lap 15 and a few pitstops. Ermm, does anything ever actually happen?

Like any endurance race it's all building up to the last stint or 2. The race can only be lost at this stage of the race.

Tickford debrief would be an interesting place to be after that!

This last lap will be interesting if they're sent on green.

We have 1 lap on green! If you're anyone but Mclaughlan, don't think just send it

Is today the day Mclaughlan is now seen by fans as a Ford driver rather than Volvo driver in the Mustang?

The race may have started a bit slow and uneventful, but boy did it deliver some tension and action in the last stint!

Holden fans will be spitting tacks for weeks.

Any long race should start slow and uneventful with quality drivers. You can't win a race that length in the first hour but you can certainly lose it. I loved every minute of it personally.

Can’t help but feel that whilst the flurry of safety cars helped make the race for a period, it also denied us a potentially epic finish.

Still, another belter of a race. Now over to another 7 hours of touring cars...

Just watched the last 2 hours on catch up as fell asleep when it was on live - what an amazing end to such a long race.

If you’ve not seen this yet it’s a nice little clip of Ricciardo getting to grips with Rick Kelly’s Nissan and then taking Rick out for some passenger laps in his own car - looks like he was having fun!

I'm, now living in the USA, hoping I can get a stream for Sunday....

Whats the odds against a Lowndes/Wincup win?.......

Since McLaughlin lost team mate Alex Premat for this year's event it's hard to bet against Jamie and Craig.

I still want Scotty to win again though thumbup

Sadly it is a historic one this year as it is the last time there will be a Holden backed team at the event. It will never be the same again, even if some teams will still be running the Commodore body next year.

End of an era, and probably the end of the sport was well unfortunately.

RBR have a special livery which is a massive let down - I was not impressed when I saw the mock up a couple of weeks ago and am even less impressed now I’ve seen pics of the actual car. Very poor effort by them and Holden. Not that anyone at Holden cares because they no longer have cars to sell.

Hopefully an all Holden podium and ideally an all Holden top 10 smile
