Done well this year, just had a doze as I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer and woke up just after the safety car came out

Here we go....

The only acceptable way Holden say goodbye. Mega drive from SVG, did the hard work when it mattered to get the lead and then did it again off the final restart.

It's a pity they cant overtake in the dry, there was zero chance the lead or any major positions would change on those restarts.

The cars are spectacular to watch there, but the racing is not great, nothing happened outside the weather intervention or bad luck on safety car timing with pit stops.

They can & do normally overtake in the dry it just didn't seem to happen this year.

They've hit a bit of dead end with the aero in the cars in this Gen 2 era so they struggle to get close enough and get moves done. One of the big changes for Gen 3 is a reduction in downforce

Only just thought to look for a Bathurst thread on here, a bit late to the party!
Awesome result for me, my mate GT scoring his 4th win and everyone's least favourite driver doing his traditional Bathurst fk up! smile

Surprised about the comments re the commentators, I'm sure there must be an IQ cut off of around 50 to qualify as a V8SC commentator! Why anyone thinks an ex driver makes a suitable choice is beyond me!

McLaughlin is off to IndyCar (no real surprise there) and Penske are pulling out, so next year it is back to just DJR.
