Team HARD running an ex-WSR 1 series BMW for Carl Boardley now. Interesting twist.
Wonder if he's just bought one and they're running it for him or if HARD have got a couple of them?

The way the press release is worded is he bought it and HARD are running it under their license. I don't think there are two available unless Parker have given up their one.

The Levorgs will not be back out. I believe as of next year they are no longer eligible for the championship. At least something along those lines was being said after the final round.
They are eligible but no new cars of their configuration (boxer engine or rotary for that matter) are allowed. So basically Subaru couldn't enter anything other than the Levorg unless it had a conventional engine.
Presumably the Levorgs will end up int he "Dunlop Touring Car Trophy" where old BTCC (e.g. the Audi's etc) cars go up against all sorts of other Touring Cars.

Also talk of shedden coming back after his nightmare in wtcr with audi.
I wonder why Shedden has done so poorly in WTCR? I know he's got his detractors but you can't deny he's a quick racing driver, but whenever I've randomly popped on a WTCR race he's always messing around in 23rd place or something.

To be fair the vast majority of time he was higher up than that with some top 10's. TCR is a very different place to BTCC with the way the BoP works but he was generally outshone by hist team mate. The Audi is definitely not the car to be in though.

So WRT are withdrawing from WTCR https://www.autosport.com/wtcr/news/147567/wrt-aud...

Guess that leaves Flash out of a seat, does that make it more likely he will be back in BTCC next year??

Any news on Rob or even Ricky Collard for next year? I feel Ricky might be a surprise entry into the spare WSR car.

If Jordan can't afford it I'd be surprised if Ricky could unless his dad gives up racing and chucks a big wedge his way. Not sure if he would want to leave the GT world for it either.

I was thinking that. GT racing (with Aston I think), or BTCC. I'd probably see a longer term future in GT racing.

Aston are a good team to be in with the new WEC regs on the way..

I only assumed it'd be easier to raise and cover costs on a BTCC season over GT.

I might be well wide of the mark here but I'd be surprised if he's paying anything at all to drive the Aston and is getting a wage. With the BMW in BTCC he'd probably have to find 250k or so to drive it.

Noticed on Instagram this evening Jordan is announcing his plans for next year on Wednesday. Any bets on what's occurring?

Going by what he posted a few weeks back I'd say it's the Carrera Cup he's moving to.

He's staying in BTCC, got a new sponsor. Still with BMW.

Or could be same as Turkington and a BMW driver now instead?

Fully with BMW now, might be a better description.

Not entirely sure it merited the deletion of everything else on his Instagram prior to this announcement, but fair play, generated some hype!
