Does anyone know where I can watch the highlights on tv of the wrc?

You used to be able to catch them on channel 5, then on itv and even on BT but i cant find them anywhere now.

ITV seem to cover one race then never again, its weird.

Having serious difficulty finding a decent highlights show like I used to get, which was 30-45 minutes long.

I know there the offical WRC channel on YT but the highlights are like, 4 minutes long.

Highlights on ITV4 and BT Sport. BT Sport has most of the stages lives too although you have to jump around their channels a bit.

That you have to ask, is pretty damning - F1 is Sky/CH4, BTCC is ITV4, etc Saying that, the main highlight show has moved from station to station regularly over the last 10-15 years.
I'd go for the RedBull TV highlights; available on most smart TV, desktop PC or on the app if you have a tablet/phone; you can set notifications when it starts.

I'll give you a tenner if you can show me where they are on ITV4

To those who suggested redbull, cheers, never even heard of it before now.

The Arctic Rally highlights were on ITV4 on 3rd March. Monte Carlo highlights were on 28th January. So I expect Croatia highlights will be on 28th or 29th April. You can send me the tenner then.

Forestry access available for motorsport use, but not from summer - but 30th September. Disappointing, but not surprising; but it's made a dent in quite a few events plans - some which have had to cancel.

30th of September seems excesive, can't be stopping people being able to walk in their local woods for one day of summer can we now? But it's better than nothing I guess, and something we probably will have to get used to.

Having read their review of future rallying in the forests, I'm not that surprised. Combine that with the uncertainty about foreign holidays, they just want to accommodate as many people as possible within the forest environments and cut down on any temporary restrictions. The priority is sustainable and low impact sport, and rallying isn't too far up that list.

In better news, all 3 Wrc teams have signed up to the new hybrid rules for 3 years. M-Sport will also be getting more support from Ford Performance, due to the new regs.

I suppose it is good news, but wow, the same 3 manufacturers.....The FiA & Promoter have really played a blinder there....

We could easily have lost 2 manufacturers so we can be thankful for that. It's not a surprise that no one else has joined yet, given the lateness of the regs. The promoters seemed optimistic that someone will join in 2023.

I have to be honest, I find the cheering from DIrtfish, etc a bit OTT. We've managed to keep all 3* manufacturers - that should be the bare minimum, not something to celebrate.
One looks at the WEC, and how successful they've been with their new regs, and the manufacturers they've attracted, and one wonders just what the WRC Promoter have been doing, or not doing.

The only reason Dirtfish are doing that is because they are invested in it, the moronic Evans and his mate are trying to make it into a sort of WRC exclusive media zone, when all they really do is talk about Msport repeatedly, it's truly awful and very self indulgent and having known one of these people I can see why.

WRC is going through a tough time, quite why it hasn't gone R5 and a sort of R5+ by now I dont know, it is the only way to make it more interesting, and populate it better.

But as usual, promoters want manufacturers and they always call the shots, until they leave, which is what Dirtturd were worried about, which is also why they are so happy.

They'll cheer for whatever brings the money in. See also all the hype from motorsport journalists and publications about Extreme E when they show absolutely no interest in any other offroad racing outside of Dakar.

Of course, prior to spectator access being allowed, you could always come out before the 30th as a marshal on the Trackrod smile
