Round 16 and we’re in Monza, a proper classic circuit. Car set-up is similar to Spa, so expect more Max/Red Bull domination and Mercedes to be back in trouble. It will be interesting to see if Ferrari can get through the weekend at least doing the basics right.

I’m no fan of Ricciardo, but it was sad to see his performance last weekend, I hope things improve here but as Monza needs the one thing the 2022 Mclaren doesn’t have- a high top speed- this is extremely unlikely. It's possible that Barrichello's 2004 lap record could be beaten this year.

Here’s to another great race.

Date(s): Friday 9 to Sunday 11 September 2022.

UK Broadcast Timings (and track time):

All sessions are live on Sky F1. Qualifying and the race are shown as highlights on Channel 4.

Thank you for these threads PIAP!

I expect Red Bull and Max to absolutely dominate all weekend here, in fact I wouldn't be surprised if Red Bull get an easy 1-2.

Sadly, with the pressure of performing for the Tifosi, I'm expecting Ferrari to make an even bigger balls up of their weekend than they've managed of late.

Personally, I hoper Merc are more competitive here than in Spa.

Red Bull will be untouchable here in low downforce, even Checo might get up there.

Shame for Ricciardo, should have been a nice weekend for him and the team following last years victory.

Now it’ll all be Pierre’s limelight if his move to Alpine is confirmed.

Also Tsunoda is on for a 10 place grid penalty for breaching the reprimand limit.

Might as well take a new engine or two at the same time

At least theres no chance of Riccardo being gifted the win by Mclaren this year.

Can't see anything but redbull domination Max to lap everyone eveb well into the top 10.

The aero on the Red Bull is so good they can take all the downforce off and still corner well. They will simply stroll off up the road.

Apparently they reverted to an older engine for Max in Zandvoort. The new Spa engine is getting wheeled out again here.

It would be nice, if only for the sake of variety, to see someone else win this week.

Albon did have the highest top speed at Spa... So would love to see him pull out some kind of quali masterpiece.

I think we're overdue a Redbull cock up, so I'm going for a Sainz win after Ferrari accidentally put a space saver on the front left of LeClercs car at the 2nd stop.

RB 1-2 with a 1 sec lap advantage

Ferrari vs Alpine for 3/4. LeClerc to DNF.

Williams in Q3 and Top 10 finish.

Binotto metaphorically lynched by the media on Monday.

I think they can only carry over 1 new engine per "event".

If they put 2 in, only the second one can be used in other races. Rules were changed a few years ago to stop teams *cough*McLaren*cough* hoarding parts but only taking a 3 place drop as they were at the back away.

Do we think a slippery Williams will do better?

One of them maybe, the other, er....

I don't think they'll do that well here, everyone else will be just as slippery around here. It's not like spa where Albon can get a decent gap on someone on the straight and defend like hell around the rest of the track.

If Ferrari implode under the pressure of a home performance, could we see Mercedes jump them in the WCC this weekend?
