Damn shame about Jeremy I always thought he balanced out the coverage really well, I would expect Shea was snapped up by someone.
Agreed Jeremy always gave a cool, calm and collected commentary and Shea had a great raport and respect from drivers and team owners in pit lane.bergclimber34 said:
Do we know if they are being replaced, surely they are and what they might be doing subsequently, I find it hard to believe Jeremy left willingly he seemed to really enjoy his IMSA duties.
Yes i thought the same when i heard. Quite surprised actually. I thought he was part of the furniture.Disappointing, that. Shea and Jeremy are my favourites in the RLM/IMSA crossover. John can't stop eatng and mentioning his racing (but is otherwise brilliant), the other randoms talk nonsense.. but these two are great. Wonder where Jeremy is going?
The aussie guy doing the comms for the Dubai and Abu Dhabi creventic races this year with RLM sounded like an old tired drunk.. which is weird as last year he was fine.

I could do with a bit less of his blatant Porsche bias though, his effusiveness over one marque (and banging on about owning one) gets a bit boring over a season.M

The Aussie guy is Phil Anson and he lives and works in Dubai. He used to do the commentary at the local races at the Autodrome and has previously raced bikes and cars. The aussie guy doing the comms for the Dubai and Abu Dhabi creventic races this year with RLM sounded like an old tired drunk.. which is weird as last year he was fine.

I thought he was absolutely fine on the Dubai commentary, no great surprise if someone doing a 24 hour race sounds tired Florida_Man said:
Yep, big carnage at the start
And they didn't red flag it, the 45 minute race counted down under safety car and yellow flags to a 17 minute race.Edited by Florida_Man on Friday 24th January 16:39

Quite enjoyable for a wet and windy Sunday - better there though - as the sun is starting to rise.
Aerial shots quite impressive in the night, really illustrating the speed differential between the classes.
