North London to Goodwood in the rush hour?

I need to be in Goodwood in Hampshire by 9:30 on Thursday. How can I minimise my chances of a nervous breakdown in the rush hour?

Is it just a case of leaving early and taking the M25 and A3? Just how long is it likely to take?
