Hi Guys,

I managed to get my hands on a Racing Blue 182 back in August 2016 after much looking & debating. The car in question was brought from another Forum member.

First impressions of the car are good! Expectations are always high when there are so many good examples out there. Generally pleased with what I got. My plan at the time was to just enjoy it and take things slowly, however the idea of making into a great looking and performing track car was appealing. Especially as the Racing Blue examples are generally kept in pristine condition rather than stripped down and raced.

So here it is back in August 2016 when work had began already shortly after I brought it. Funny thing is I brought the car without viewing it or driving it, as the price was too good to be true. I only paid £950. Which going by today's values still seems a steal! Anyway here are some pictures...

Fast forward to this year, the car looks very different and will continue to evolve over the coming months. Earlier this year we was approach by Performance French Car Magazine for a feature (released March) Which I was very pleased with, great write up and images.. Even though it snowed all day! I've got my hands on the images from the shoot, here are some of my favourites.

Sorry its so picture heavy! I'd love to hear your feedback on it.

Thanks for looking.

Any advice is welcome and appreciated.

Thank you mate. Its been stripped off everything that isn't needed put it that way. All sound deadening, stripped wiring and painted gloss white shell inside. Engine wise nothing major yet.. Exhaust, intake. Throttle Bodies over winter.

Thanks mate. It was a good starting base in fairness. Can't bring myself to sell it now.

Saw this car on beaniesport's page. Absolutely stunning motor, and only £950! Amazing.

Would love ITBs, Ktec do a great kit inc ECU, worth getting them to install it etc. but many have done it on the cheap and messed up the mapping leading to poor economy. Done properly ITBs can make these more efficient which would be perfect.

Another good update.

I got the car back from Beaniesport yesterday. Had a sports CAT fitted and a few minor cosmetic interior changes. Also had the car MOT'd and it passed with one advisory, which for 116k I'm pretty pleased with.

I'm hoping to give the interior a deep clean at the weekend, with the intention of a track day at the end of the month.

A few quick pictures back at home. Before it's back in the humble garage.

I only paid £1200 for my Cup with a dead fuel pump fuse and thought I'd got a bargain but apparently not!

Who did the wrap?

That's still a great deal on a cup! Compared to the values of them now.. We've all seen the Trophy's shoot up in value. The guys at 3SixtyWraps Northampton did the work. Great reputation, couldn't of asked for better service!

What an utter bargain.
I've recently had my first track drive and I'm looking at which internal organs i can sell in order to fund my own car. Conpared to the ratty examples I've seen at the sub £1500 price range this looks great.
What forum did you find it on?
