You're adding at least another 25 years onto the life of that car; it'll still be looking nice underneath when all the dinosaur juice has dried up!
I really hope so and that is the idea, seeing the state of the car last month you can see what 23 years of grime/salt and dirt does to the underside.phumy said:
The black poly bushes are supposedly road bushes. The purple ones are the slightly harder bush, i will see how i get on and change accordingly if needs be, im hoping that not much difference will be noticable.
I think the black ones are the race version and purple are road.Pretty sure it will drive lovely with fresh bushes in place

Now there's a name I remember from the quattroforum days (white RR?).
Glad to see this getting some love, and having had some use. I can't remember the last time I saw any classic audi on the road.
Nope, had a pearl white MB though, yes that man was I in the quattro forum days, long long ago.Glad to see this getting some love, and having had some use. I can't remember the last time I saw any classic audi on the road.
It was actually 15 years ago that i sold it, not 6 as in the photo

Superb- time and money really well spent..
Are you worried that these non OEM bushes will add harshness though?
I've had powerflex bushes on both of my M3s and multiple locations and always struggled to tell the difference from a NVH point of view. The increase in marginal to say the least. Are you worried that these non OEM bushes will add harshness though?

Great work Martin, really loving the updates on the big green estate and well worth all the effort. Been in a few of these, both modded and standard, back in the day as my mate worked for Quattro Sports as it was named back then.
Look forward to watching the rest of your progress
Thanks for your kind words, ive just looked at your profile and worked out immediately who you are. Look forward to watching the rest of your progress

Was just sent these pictures of the steering arms by Nick and they do look in a very sorry state, well one of them anyway and im struggling to find replacements for them, any help would be greatly appreciated. The Audi numbers are as follows
Part number: 811419802K
Part number: 894419802A
So if anyone in the parts business or in the Audi world can point me in the right direction that would be great, i would take Lemforder or Febi Bilstein if anyone has numbers for them, asap please. As you will see below not much mileage left in them adjusters, talk about Just In Time
