Amazing build, just read the whole thread and took lots of ideas and inspiration for my 205.

Yeah, I’ve seen all the pics of the engine carnage. All looking good now and he’s now just “finessing” the fuel and ignition maps. Think he’s just ordered a taller gearbox too?

Superb update OP - this is just perfect. I think i remember reading about why you swept the tailpipes down and i'f see it on big power turbo cars to reduce the likelyhood of torching a close following car behind. Is this for noise?

And sorry to derail but the buggy sounds interesting. Any links?

Lovely to see an update, and so pleased it has met your aims of a usable, drivable car instead of a one trick pony hot rod...

Is the plate just for show, or have you got it IVAd and road legal?

Just read through this all, after seeing Vini at PH25. So I've done it the wrong way round, but what a stunning achievement.

Interesting, saw a Mk1 'Bini' Mini racing at Silverstone probably 15-20 years ago now, which was RWD and had been fitted with an E46 M3 engine. Was in a dark blue/purple colour from memory - got blown away by the more spaceframed older Minis from memory but was an awesome engineering feat to see back then! Look forward to seeing some pics of OP's to compare.

Dave,

Congratulations on being in EVO Oct 2024 #326

Looking forward to reading this writeup.

My car was in EVO several years ago TVR 450 SEAC vs TVR Sagaris vs 1960's v8 TVR and I'm still very proud.
