I spotted this today as well .First one I have seen for sale and only 18 Blue cups in the uk so I'm still in the elite club

Another update to finish off the brake upgrades .
With the new larger front discs and the pad upgrades the last thing to look at was the brake cooling .
In the past i have run brake cooling guides but found a Puretrack brake ducting kit .
The front scoops attach to the lower bumper and then feed direct to the discs with piping .
To make the install much more easy i removed the front bumper and set about attaching the kit .

Then it was on to attaching the pipework with some good old fashioned cable ties not pretty but effective and i also added some braided brake lines to the front and rear .

This should give some extra cooling to the discs to help with any heat issues .

Where are the magic gold ones from? I need to get a new magnetic one for the swift as it seems the one in it and has been for 5 years is starting to round a bit
Got my one from this place and allways fit them to my cars .https://www.advantage-motorsport.co.uk/car-prep/oi...
Had a small set back with the car as after the brake upgrade was done the next day there was a small puddle of liquid under the right rear of the car .
After inspection i found out this was coming from the piston seal on the rear right calliper .

They were stiff when i pushed the piston back in to the calliper and this has either split the seal or there is a problem with the piston .
I did look at a rebuild kit but a new calliper was not that much more money so i went for a new unit and also a new unit for the rear left hand side .

The only problem was that it was not Yellow so some paint was ordered and i was quite happy that my GCSE D grade in are came in handy

Then the two new callipers were install on the car and the problem fixed .

Great work as always...
How many miles have you done and, more importantly... when is the first big shakedown!?
I am ashamed to say i have only done massive 143 miles from last May as i have only driven the car once and that was picking the thing up .How many miles have you done and, more importantly... when is the first big shakedown!?
I think im just about there with my endless fiddling and the car is booked in for a remap at RS tuning then a corner weighting and Geo set up at Select motor sport then she will be ready for her and my first outing .
Still got some more plans but i will wait until the winter for them or i will never drive the dam thing

Excellent news. I’m only pushing because the sooner you start driving it, the sooner you track it, the sooner you get bored of it and the sooner I can buy it off you I think im just about there with my endless fiddling and the car is booked in for a remap at RS tuning then a corner weighting and Geo set up at Select motor sport then she will be ready for her and my first outing .

Or if you speak to my Mrs the sooner i drive it , the sooner i track , it the sooner i crash it .........
Another update on the car and something a bit more exciting than oil and coolant changes .
The car has been up to RS Tuning for a custom remap and made a nice 306 BHP and 357 LB/FT .
The power and torque graphs are nice and flat, and the car looks to be making good power from 5000 to 6000 RPM .
The car is only running a cold air induction system , Decat and exhaust system and an Airtec intercooler but is still on the stock OEM turbo so I’m happy with the numbers the car is running .

Ah that's awesome. Can't wait.It was my plan to start back at Bedford so this will be a great starting point to get to know the car at a track i have driven a few times + it has lots of run off if i get things a bit wrong

We've rented a garage, so we can use that as a focal point for the day

My brother was due to attend, but unfortunately his ST was nicked a couple of weeks ago.

It will be my first track day in well over a year after my little shunt at Goodwood so may be a little rusty and i dont know the car yet as i have only driven it once so i have my excuses all ready lined up We've rented a garage, so we can use that as a focal point for the day

I might see if there are any garage spaces left or might just have base camp in the car park as normal .
Yeah the little Fiestas do seem to get nicked an awful lot and that was one worry when i had my one .
