My "Check Engine" light came on my '97 993 with 60,000 miles. The dealer tells me this is a "secondary intake fault" which means I need a valve job. Very expensive.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Is this a common problem?
Could the cause be anything else less expensive?
I wouldn't take too much notice of the light if it's come on just the once. Get it reset and see what happens. You may also want to put some cleaner in the tank to remove any deposits.
