South Downs?
.
Yup smile , on a cold dreary afternoon, after a quick stop at Loomies , a biker stop we used to frequent, then tea in Arundel
Lots of nice places in-between the South Downs and Surrey Hills/North Downs. My often roof down area keeping away from the main roads, very scenic.

It takes something special to beat the rear wing on the red vehicle but I think you've done it. hehe

I love the Lancaster as well.... didn't know they were on display outside anywhere anymore. Lincolnshire is a bit far from me.

Before they invented Health & Safety, I went to an airshow at HMS Daedalus, but we were 'outside' the airfield perimeter at the end of the runway on a triangle of grass, which is next to the sea.

A Lancaster was part of the show. It circled over the Isle of Wight, over the Solent, at altitude until it was it's turn to 'display'.

Basically it did a power dive, aiming at the end of the runway, where we were standing, and then flattened out at the last minute, flying on at lowest altitude for the full length of the runway.

We all knew we were going to die - frozen in place.

Jeezus must have been in the 1980s..... I'll never forget those seconds..
