997 c2s 6th gear ration and flywheel mods
Discussion
You will probably see i'm looking to replace or rebuild the engine in my 997 c2s and whilst i'm at it i'm considering changing the flywheel if there is a light weight RS variant but my main gripe about the car is the 6th gear ration
With even modest motorway cruising speeds the car is still reving it's nuts off at 3000 rpm etc and hence i was wondering if there is different ration available to bring the revs down to circa 30 mph / 1000 RPM.
Any thoughts on the flywheel mod, it worked well on my 964 C2

I can't even imagine fitting a longer final drive - 3000 rpm isn't revving its nuts off. The car isn't made for sitting on the motorway, but it will cruise along at 80 leptons quite happily. I'd only want longer gearing for mile munching on the autobahn at 100 plus? Most petrol engined cars are geared about the same.
