Not surprised by this. I bought my Macan from an OPC last year and although initially impressed with the prep to the vehicle, upon closer inspection, the wheels received a cursory blow over with a rattle can. Bits of paper embedded between the rim and the tyre and now the paint is bubbling on the edge of the spokes. Also the fact the faces are a different shade to the inside dish is a clear tell tale.

I find it pretty disappointing in all honesty. It’s not like a full strip down is actually that expensive from the likes of lepsons.

Once winter is out of the way, mine will be getting the full treatment and then sealed.

Back to OP - there is no question that Porsche (or the contractor who did it on their behalf) should be picking up the cost of of new set of centres.

I suggest speaking to PGB about this. I bought my 981 privately but had the seller book a 111 point check at OPC Reading before purchase, and I paid for this. The wheels were ticked as OK on the 111 check list but when I first washed the car I noticed hundreds of micro stone chips. PGB at first said the 111 check is only for mechanical issues. I argued that there is nothing mechanical about a wheel other than perhaps damage and that the tick box would surely include cosmetic issues. They agreed to refund the 111 point check cost and made a goodwill contribution toward having the wheels refurbed.

An approved used car from an OPC would have to pass the same "stringent" check and so yours too should be failed if less than perfect.

If I were you I'd raise this with the DP at the OPC and if unsuccessful take it to PGB. I have the contact details of the lady I dealt with and can provide these if you wish to pursue it with them.
