The Collecting Cars Porsche thread…
Discussion
Having owned two impact bumper 911s I've seen a bit of rust but this 911 SC look like a right nail. Look at the visable holes.

My first ever 911 experience as a young nipper was in one of these. I was in the back. Dad in pass seat. Owner driving obviously. I mentioned this to someone else on the internet a few years ago and how I vividly remember there being no seats and no belts in the back and I cut my hand on some metal bracket which I assume now was for the original seat to bolt in. Someone commented that there should be no such brackets in the back as they were never designed or built to have seats at all. So it was probably just a white vanilla car with no rear seats, red wheels and stickers. I see this one has some weird storage bin - stripped out lightweight with a storage bin? Does anyone here know what should be in the back of these?KittyLitter said:
One could easily get through £60K on that one.
£10K bodywork
£10K engine
£10K paint
£10K parts & suspension
£10K interior.
£10K contingency
I wouldn't be visiting places that charge those prices. I reckon 'up north' £30k max would sort the car out if your don't want a concours nut and bolt job, which this model doesn't need.£10K bodywork

To your question regarding the bins in place of the rear seats, yes this is original and similar to the arrangement in the 968 Clubsport from a similar era ... I once saw a trackday at Donington where a 968CS owner arrived with a set of spare wheels in the car and a trolley jack jammed behind the passenger seat !!
The 911 alternative at Spa was a sheet of marine-ply on a roof rack with four wheels on it ....

Somebody clearly saw some potential at just shy of £34k with fees https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1980-porsche-9...

Probably another dubious restomod Does anyone remember the ‘new’, zero miles, silver 3.2 G50 Coupe that, I think, P.S. were selling a few years ago ?
It was actually a ‘restoration’ and the ‘before’ photos revealed a complete rust-bucket
Shall post here as its an auction (shall delete if requested)
Fantastic 2003 Porsche 996 Turbo coming up for auction. Looks spectacular in my opinion.

It looks like the same car that's been up on Autotrader for a while.

I thought CC had a rule that you couldn't advertise the car anywhere else while the auction was live?
