Consider the stakes raised....dear oh dear.
You and Silly are barking up the wrong tree. Go and ask the previous owner of that 964 RS if he approached anyone privately about buying the car before selling it through Cheshire Classic Cars....when he says yes you'll then know how I know about the car. He first approached me on 23rd August and told me on 17th Sep he'd given it to them to sell. Would you like his initials and the chassis number ?
It's all irrelevant now as the car sold to someone who's use case the car was perfect for. You and Silly are barking up the wrong tree. Cars are only original once, and the CSC RS was about as original as a 'used' RS gets.
Loads of German history (including a copy of the previous German log book)
One single UK owner who imported the car himself (and drove it back from Germany)
Loads of UK specialist history
Original Paintwork (with some stone chipping and rear arch dimples as you would expect with a driven RS)
Original un-molested engine (which pulled like a train)
The car received a lot of interest (both from the UK and overseas) given its very realistic asking price and it sold to the first buyer to physically view and test drive it.
The car then went through a thorough Ninemeister PPI which picked up just a few bits and pieces but nothing which couldn't be easily resolved.
Ultimately the car is now in the hands of a very happy new owner who lets face it, bagged a great car at a very fair price.
