PCCM+ for 997, 987, 986

I am surprised no replies on this, I guess not many Gen 2 owners were holding out for the PCCM+

I was and thats a proper shame - nearly went with a hi spec Pioneer AVIC earlier in the year but pulled it as I heard about these

Yes that is old news but the new news I am posting is that it only happening for Gen 1’s. Keep up

Could not care less about upgrading PCM in my 7.2 3s. They are for driving with a brilliant sound system hanging out over the rear axle. If I need navigation, my iPhone does the trick better than any built in system.

Reminds me of s radio advert for the 911 in the late 70s which referred to a symphony in 12 valves as a reason not to install a radio (optional).

I went back from 997.2 to 997.1. The PCM in the .2 whilst flawed, was far better than that in the .1. I'm interested in PCCM+ if it means I can ditch the Nav DVD in the boot and reclaim the space!

i think it is Gen 2 supported but the issues I see are
low res
carpay only by wire - which means a cable hanging out the front....which will look a mess. Why no wireless Carplay?
no backup cam support.

Wow, looks good but the functionality seems very underwhelming. Can't think that microphone will be much use (especially on RHD cars), a cable for AirPlay... really... loss of CD (important for old schoolers like me).

Given the bezel colour I assume this is 997.1 only (PCM 2.1 replacement).
