I wonder if the dealers will resort to discounting?

On a heavily specced Cayenne or Panamera they probably will quite soon. Quarter end in a couple of weeks. 911 or 718 I'd say there are two hopes of getting a discount.

They already are. I checked a couple of weeks ago and several listed Cayennes and Panameras were approx £10k cheaper than the configurator price.

Some of the highly specc'd Cayennes are at £20k off list. Use the "see this car on the configurator" button, (where it's availabel) and it's easy to see the discounts.....................

Surely this is a sign of things to come, seems to be a big jump in availability of new cars.

Wasn’t that long ago you had to wait for a nice model Cayenne and Macan and you certainly couldn’t get a discount.

Yes, but these are mostly absurdly over-specced cars

Utter insanity! I should be a customer for a car like this, but it’s just ridiculous for a platform-shared SUV, no matter how well it’s built

Just looked at the only 911 available new. asking price is £2K above list, when considering the options in the configurator.

So no discount here and if there is a rule about selling for above list it is being ignored.

Configured price plus OTR costs, about £2k.

Which ones are you spotting? I just lucky dipped a couple of GTSs and Turbos and the only discount vs config was road tax / OTR costs being included.

OTR charges are 2k and excluded from Porsche quoted prices

6 months ago even used over spec cars were going over list. Not anymore!

Some people have taken serious losses on cars which they over paid for!

It’s a modern Porsche so won’t even be built well.

I had a quick scan yesterday and I couldn't find any that were more than a couple of grand less than the configurator build price. Maybe they are sold already !

What makes you think there would be a discount?
