If you agree that the German pronunciation is correct then porsh can't be called the British way when many Brits also pronounce it correctly.
I spend a lot of time in Germany with work and I use the correct pronunciation over there but here in Blighty, I always use "Porsh" and don't know many people who don't hence me calling it the British way. It just sounds odd when a Brit says "Porshuh". Similarly, I work for the EMEA region and one of my closest colleagues is Spanish and called Rocio. I know her native Spanish speakers call her "Rotheo" but everyone else including me, pronounces it "Roseeo". I asked her about it, and she said it would sound odd to her if I tried to use the proper Spanish pronunciation.

What's wrong with a Brit using the correct pronunciation?
Because it can sound pretentious. Like saying Athina for Athens or 'Pareeee' for Paris.IroningMan said:
But those place names have English translations - Porsche does not. Do you use an English pronunciation for place names that don’t have English translations, such as, for example, Saint Tropez?
Peeps say Majorca instead of 'My-Orca' (Mallorca) or Budapest instead of Buda-Pesht. I think it always sounds a bit pretentious to suddenly switch into a local accent for one word.

But you can say Mallorca without affecting a Spanish accent - just as a Spanish person can say Leicester or Worcester without sounding like they’ve teleported to Walford.I think it always sounds a bit pretentious to suddenly switch into a local accent for one word.
Any road up - Janis Joplin had it right.
