I think the briefing has to be (should be?) watched not more than 24 hours before the trackday ...

Evening all, heading up to Oulton for the RS day with my boxster cup car, however haven’t been able to get a garage spot, and running. Race car our a marquee is a nightmare 😂 if anyone would be up for swaps, sharing or happy to purchase half or all the garage spot please let me know

Just got offered to take up a place at Oulton for the RS day tomorrow from the reserve list. I can't take it. Keep an eye on your emails if you were also on the reserve list.

Well that turned out to be a great day didn’t it?!

Driving standards were fantastic and the weather helped massively, nice to put some faces to names.

Only my second track day in my 996 so just about starting to get used to how I need to drive it and building up some confidence in what it can do.apologies if I was a noble chicane for anyone!

Some utterly amazing cars, had to pick a favourite. Does anyone know if there’s a page where photos can be viewed? There seemed to be a lot of vloggers knocking about-not sure if it’s just a case of searching social media?

Hi, newbie on Pistonhead but now I know who owns the reg plate, I was hoping for Alain but hey. I was there yesterday and took quite a few photos. It was an entertaining day and so impressed with the friendliness of the drivers etc. . I know I took a few of your Porsche black if I remember. I am hoping to get a gallery together by the end of the week, I’ll let you know and pass you a link.

Im not a social media sort or blogger or vlogger or tree logger but I do have instagram.

Pro5t, didn’t get to say hello, but your 996 MR sounds mint and looks great too. Agree with comments about the day, went off really well and everyone behaved impeccably.

Ha! Everyone tells me about the sound of it but obviously I've never heard it except from inside, Manthey did a special airbox mod on mine and the howl is addictive-it did 101bd yesterday morning at static 4k

So either 4k rpm was on the low side, or you have one of those ecu mods that lowers the rev limit in idle smile

It was a great day though. The weather improved dramatically over what was forecast - a first for Oulton!

As others have said great behaviour by all in terms of track manners and no stoppages...(apparently there was a red flag in the morning when wet but not once I ventured out later)

The 996 GT3 was super sweet at the circuit. So well balanced.
There were quite a few 996s going around well.

The track is a bit of a mini nurburgring

You weren’t looking at the right forecast! Lol

Great to see you and the Red Baron, as always.
