Carrera GT- how long before it races???

I ma just reading details of the new Carrera GT in today's Autocar (next week there's a 911 supplement).

Technologically speaking its stunning, which leads to an obvious question:

How long before it races (in particular, Le Mans??)

It could give the GT class a real fright!!!!
