Mobil 1 Motorsport 15w50 is probably the best motor oil you can chuck in anything at the moment, Boxster or not. (Castrol RS 10w60 is a close second).

Now get on and drive the thing and forget about oil grades. That kind of thing only really excites people like dogsharks and 9m

Happy xmas

It looks like I've trained Domster well. :-)

Just pour in some Prolong or Slick 50, drain the sump and take off. No need to have anything in there for oil pressure, the stuff is like magic, and it will even fix mechanical problems while you drive. Great stuff. While you're at it, pop on a K&N filter, take a pencil and poke some additional holes in it because you'll get an infinitessimal boost in horsepower; ahhhh forget the dirt it will suck in, who cares about that kind of stuff because all we're really after is putting a smile on that salesmans face, and getting that last .0000001th of a second cut off that quarter mile time, right?

All joking aside, the Mobil-1 15W50 would appear to be well within the requirements of the owners manual, and it is a superb product. As a matter of fact, I think you'll see Porsche factory teams with the Mobil-1 logo on them.

regards, and I hope you take a little leg pulling with good spirits.
